1. Exfoliating more will not help get rid of the dead skin cells. Instead it will strip the skin of natural oils, damage the skins barrier making it more sensitive. Opt for exfoliating 2-3 times weekly.

2. Moisturizers don’t add water to your skin, but rather help hold the water in the outer layer of your skin to keep it hydrated. Moisturizers contain ingredients called humectants, which draw the water into your skin, and emollients, which form a protective film and trap the water in.

3. Sun damage is caused by UV rays not temperature. Even on cloudy days 80% of UV rays can pass through clouds causing sun damage to your skin.

4. Hot showers can be relaxing, but they strip your skin of it’s natural oil making it dry. Instead try lukewarm water.

5. Price of a product does not determine the quality. The quality is based off of ingredients.

6. Genetics do play a part in aging skin but environment, stress, sun exposure, sleep patterns and diet also are important factors.

HOW TO TREAT ACNE SKIN AND ACHIEVE BRIGHTER SKIN? DIY Skin Care recipe ⬇️
Lemon has antibacterial properties which get rid of the bacteria that causes breakouts. Mix a few drops of lemon juice with a few drops of coconut water and apply with a cotton pad to brighten and hydrate your skin respectively.

Rubbing a slice of lemon on the affected areas after washing your face can help remove blackheads. Remember that concentrated lemon juice can be harsh on sensitive skin therefore leave it on your face for about 15 minutes and then wash it off.

If you have greasy skin, put a few drops of diluted lemon juice on a cotton pad and apply to freshly washed skin.

Remember when trying out these remedies, try one at a time, allowing it time to show results. Jumping from one treatment to another can not only bring about worse breakouts but it will be harder for you to notice what does and doesn’t work for your skin.
