Inspiring, Motivational, Yes We can!

Wanting to leave a better life, away from noise, away from familiar faces. I took an apartment somewhere posh for almost a year but only got to stay in it for only 2 months.

Super classy apartment, so quite, everyone minding their business. Just us, my family and I as I wanted it.

1st month passed by well. 2nd month boredom kicked in. Missed the noise from neighbourhood, missed someone to talk to even if it's just greetings. Everyone was super occupied with their own lives and the only people I could talk to were just the guards and that was very rare and also because of the kids.

One day whilst in the elevator with a stranger, mumbling to myself, what a nice apartment to leave in, and the stranger mumbled back " In this nice apartment, you could die and rot alone and no one would notice or even care".

Excuse me, I said. "I was attacked by more than 20 robbers at gun point 2 years back. No one bothered to come then and until now, no one has even showed any concern, he went on..
Quite shocking and sorry to hear especially to someone who comes from a place where people leave like they've known each other forever.
I learnt to
1. Appreciate my community
2. Appreciate my neighbours who would knock to ask for a matchbox, salt or simply to check on us.
3. Appreciate my freedom. A freedom to talk and mingle with neighbours, passer-by who would ask for directions wateva

I learnt that
1. Socializing plays a bigger role in dimishing anxiety and depression.
2.Poshness attitude is nothing but a super boring kinda life to have.
3. If one wants to walk fast walks alone but He who wants to walk far, walks together.

It doesn't hurt to say hi to your neighbours or atleast offer some help whenever you can. Your money is nothing but a piece of paper that would not pick you up when you fall or bury you,when you die. We all need someone in our lives, someone near or close to atleast help us through when in need or help them for that matter.
Don't just rely on emergency rescue calls,ambulances, bare in mind the traffic jam, poor connections.. The only true emergency rescue team you have are your neighbours

Do you think Firms/ Organizations should shorten their recruitment process?

If you ask me(not CDC or WHO)...Mental health is now becoming a no.1 disease globally as so many people are jobless and seriously affected by this pandemic.

People have not been airing their sorrows thinking that it's just a phase and it shall soon pass but soon has become Forever.

A few people feel comfortable airing their sorrows while so many others are very much uncomfortable sharing their issues out thus try to maintain their calm, by not speaking out, before they know it they're suffering from depression etc. As we all know, suicidal cases have by far heightened.

My appeal to employers, recruiters to please employ as much as possible or as needed, as well shorten the recruitment process if possible, it's too lengthy for our current situation.

People are starving, homeless and in serious debts to list a few. Applying for a job today, go through the recruitment process in 2 -3 weeks time, then get hired after 2 - 3 months causes more harm than good. The length is only suitable for those who are already employed by other firms and are just waiting to change jobs for the reasons best known to them but not to those who desperately need a pause to their sufferings.

The recruitment processes were suitable before the pandemic but things have now changed.

Let us save as many lives as possible. Feed as many families as possible. Most importantly let us say NO to Mental health Issues especially where we can simply flex and accomodate the new Normality

My sentiments🤔

People leave their motherlands to go look for a greener pasture elsewhere to atleast manage their basic needs comfortably.

It works for some but for some it's the beginning of their misery. They get to be tortured until they die🥲🥲🥲. Due to 'illegal entrance'.

First of all, May it be understood that it is not easy for someone to leave their comfortable bed(even if it's made of grass/rags), leave their family (wife and kids etc.to go somewhere strange to look for a better paying job to atleast manage their basic needs. It's usually a very difficult decision, met with a heavy heart, just that one has no otherwise but to sacrifice.

Those who torture other humans in the name of illegal entrance, servants etc. know that what goes around comes around, your turn will come because God has promised us that. In this era of social media, where video clips, news travel super fast, your turn will as well reach so fast

Stop torturing people looking to better their standards of living.The world is so funny, that it could easily be you in their shoes, next time. Ask the people of Syria, Libya, Somalia etc. to remind you of how life can easily take a turn.

Stop Mistreating others.
