Eighteen-year-old Faith Cherotich, a Form Four student at Kaliyet Secondary School in Kericho County, has achieved a remarkable feat.

She has made history by becoming the first teenager to secure a podium finish in the 3000m steeplechase event at the World Championships.

Hailing from Kipkelion West, Cherotich's stellar performance bagged her the bronze medal for Kenya.

This achievement fills us with immense pride. With such a radiant display of talent, her future undoubtedly holds great promise.
