WHAT VITAMINS SHOULD I BUY FOR A CHILD, NUTRICEUTICALS FOR CHILDREN 👶

Today, pharmacies offer a wide range of vitamins and minerals complexes for children, but you shouldn't buy them.

First of all, it is always better to choose monocomponent drugs - their digestibility is much higher, and the dosages are adequate. Secondly, the quality of our popular multicomplexes for children not satisfying at all.

1. ASKORUTIN AND ROSEHIP FRUITS
These pharmacy drugs are sources of vitamin C and bioflavonoids. Vitamin C is a group of compounds consisting of several isomers, where ascorbic acid is one of many. Rosehip contains most of vitamin C isomers.

2. SPIRULINA, AFACERN AND NETTLE LEAVES
These are excellent sources of amino acids, minerals and vitamins. Unlike rosehip fruits, alfalfa and nettle can be brewed in a kettle. The minimum extraction time is 30 minutes, better - 2-3 hours.

3. VIGANTOL
"Vigantol" is an oil solution of vitamin D3. Unlike Aquadetrima, an aqueous solution of vitamin D3, Vigantol causes allergic reactions much less often.

HOW DOES HYDRATION AFFECTS FERTILITY.

Did you know that staying well hydrated plays a very important role in achieving and maintaining fertility? This should come as no surprise as water plays an important role in almost all bodily functions. About 55-60% of your body is made up of water. For a newborn baby, that percentage is much higher at about 78%.
Being dehydrated negatively impacts your health under normal circumstances and definitely hampers your chances of getting pregnant in many ways.

For men, dehydration can lead to decreased s***m quality and less volume of semen.
For women, dehydration results in poor egg health, and less cervical mucus secretion which is vital for transportation of s***m to the fallopian tubes.
Once the egg is fertilized, the endometrium (the innermost lining of the uterus) needs to become a thick, cushioning and nourishing environment for the embryo to grow. As your body expands during pregnancy, your blood volume also increases. Hormones need to be transported to different parts of the body, harmful toxins must be flushed out and eliminated, and essential nutrients need to be carried to the growing baby. Water is the primary mover in all these functions. In addition to these physiological functions, becoming dehydrated can put you in a bad mood, disrupting the mind-body connection, which is important for maintaining your fertility.

For a woman, the recommended daily water intake is 2.2 liters or 9 cups and for a man it is 3 liters or 12 cups. This will vary depending on the weather, your age, activity level, and other food and fluids that you consume. A simple way to know if you are well hydrated is the color of your urine. Straw-colored urine indicates good hydration, dark-colored urine indicates dehydration (have some water before you do anything else), and colorless urine indicates you are drinking too much water (go easy on your water intake).

Other signs of dehydration include dry lips, dry skin, tiredness, irritability, and headaches. Drinking sufficient water will help you avoid all these symptoms, along with putting you in the right frame of mind to welcome your baby.

•Lycopene; the cancer fighter in red colour fruits.

~Tomatoes ,Watermelon,Guava,and red grapefruit contain a powerful carotenoid called Lycopene,which is about twice as powerful as Beta carotene.

~ Lycopene is the main pigment responsible for the red colour.Lycopene is the most abundant carotenoid in the prostate,and high levels of lycopene are linked to prevention of heart disease and prostate cancer.

~A study conducted by researchers examined the relationship between carotenoids and the risk of prostate cancer,and found that only the carotenoid lycopene was associated with protection.
~Men who ate more than 10 servings of tomato - based food a week had 35 % decreased risk of prostate cancer compared to those eating less than 2 servings a week. In this study, the only tomato - based food that did not corelate with the protection was tomato juice.

The men in the study with the greatest protection against prostate cancer consumed at least 6.5 mg of a day of Lycopene from tomatoes.

~Men are advised to eat more tomato based products,more guavas,Plenty of Water melon and red grapefruits to get protection against prostate cancer.
About one man in six may develop prostate cancer during his lifetime.

~Increasingly ,Lycopene has been hailed as great anticancer agent. For example,John Hopkins researchers found lycopene severely lacking in the blood of those with pancreatic cancer. They also observed lycopene to be low in those with re**al and bladder cancer.
Also low Lycopene was detected in blood levels of women with high risk of developing cervical cancer.

~ The most widely eaten highly concentrated source is Tomatoes, although Watermelon is richer in Lycopene on weight basis.Tomatoes have 3.1 grams of Lycopene per 100 grams ,Watermelon has 4.1 grams.Small amounts are present in apricots and red berries.

Is it true that honey should never be heated because it produces carcinogens?

The carcinogen hydroxyfurfural forms even in hot tea when honey is added. However, this carcinogen does not only appear when honey is heated, but also when sugars are heated. Because of this, there is some amount of it in jam, confectionery products that have been heat treated.

Don't be alarmed, hydroxyfurfural is not the strongest carcinogen. But it is better not to abuse such products.
