WHEN TO DRINK WATER
Many people say they don't want to drink before bed so they don't have to get up at night to use the bathroom.
I didn't know all of this. Interestingโฆ .. I asked my cardiologist why people have to urinate so much at night.
His answer was: When you are standing or sitting, the force of gravity holds water in your lower body.
This is the reason why the legs can swell.
When you are lying down, the lower part of your body seeks a balance with the kidneys.
So the kidneys remove the water together with the waste because then it's easier.
Water is essential for removing waste from your body.
I asked the cardiologist when is the best time to drink water.
He replied: Drinking water at specific times to Maximize efficiency in the body.
-2 glasses of water right after waking up activates internal organs.
-1 glass of water 30 minutes before each meal improves digestion.
-1 glass of water before taking a bath (or shower) lowers blood pressure.
-1 glass of water before going to bed, prevents a stroke or heart attack.
Drinking water before going to bed helps prevent leg cramps at night.
-Your leg muscles, when there are cramps, are particularly in search of water and humidity.

In the bustling heart of Nairobi, where dreams, ambition, and heartbreak ride the same matatu lanes, the story of Linda Wanjiku Irungu unfolds like a tragic novelโฆ rooted in promise, love, and fatal betrayal.
Born around 1987 in Buruburu Phase 2, Nairobi, Linda grew up in a middle-class home that embodied Kenyaโs post-independence climb: a mother determined, children ambitious, and a family bound by faith and work ethic. Her mother, Anita Irungu, raised her with unshakeable resolve. Her siblings, Diana Irunguโฆ her closest friend and emotional anchorโฆ and Renson Karanja, the quiet brother who would one day race through the night to save her, shared a bond that would be tested by tragedy.
Buruburu was the heartbeat of Nairobiโs middle class: clean streets, gated estates, evening church hymns, and the smell of chapati on Sunday. In this ordered chaos, Linda thrived. She pursued higher education with single-minded focus, earning a law degreeโฆ likely from the University of Nairobi, as her peers from similar backgrounds often did. By her mid-20s, she had built a life that mirrored her motherโs dream: a practicing lawyer, a young mother, and a woman respected by her peers for her sharp mind, grace, and humility.
On social media, she was light-hearted and relatableโฆ posting cheerful updates like โHappy Thursfriday to yโall, catch you later my pals.โ But beneath that digital joy, cracks had already begun to form.

Across town, Erastus Ngura Odhiambo, known to Nairobiโs nightlife as Ediot, was chasing a different kind of dream. A businessman by trade, he had carved a niche in the cityโs bar and entertainment scene, a world where charm was currency and chaos was routine.

In the gritty industrial underbelly of Nairobiโs outskirts, where the clang of metal and hum of machinery mix with raw ambition, Jonathan Mukundi Gachunga built an empire from literal scrap. Born around 1979 in Kenyaโs Central region to Michael Gachunga and Teresia Gathoni, he grew up modestly but with a sharp eye for opportunity in discarded things.
In his twenties, Mukundi scavenged junkyards and accident sites, turning waste into money. By his early thirties, he had transformed that hustle into a full-blown business. He bought written-off vehicles from insurance companies, stripped them down in his Mlolongo workshop, and sold spare parts โฆ everything from engines to bumpers.
Soon, he was winning government tenders, his name echoing through garages across Kiambu. The man became a millionaire. Sleek cars, huge properties, and his crown jewel โฆ the Kirigiti mansion, built in 2014 beside a quiet stream โฆ symbolized his rise from nothing.
That home wasnโt just luxurious โฆ it was fortress-like. Twelve German Shepherds, CCTV cameras on every wall, fingerprint gate access, and alarms wired to the authorities. He ran his empire like a general. Workers said his temper was unpredictable โฆ one story told of him setting dogs on an employee who stole a beer. He was both feared and respected.
Behind the success, though, was paranoia. He never went anywhere without his licensed G***k pistol. He adored his mother, but rumors swirled about a secret life abroad โฆ whispers of another family in Europe, maybe children from his early trips sourcing car parts. Nothing was ever proven, but those whispers painted him as a man with more secrets than heโd ever admit.

The brutality taking place in Sudan, should not only be condemned but also the governments in the neighbouring countries should move in to rescue the innocent people of Sudan from the nasty blood thirsty vultures.
Women, children and the unarmed innocent civilians are being slaughtered in mass numbers under the full watch of the world. it is too sad that Africa still witness these kinds of incidents.
