👑🇰🇳 -This Look was not meant to be pretty, it was meant to be Raw! So I decided to make my own fake blood to accomplish the vision I had.. first time trying such look and I’m pretty impressed 🥺.
This is the 3rd look for our National Colors Day Makeup Looks Series 🙌🏾 2026 Edition!
📌Friday 11th, September (It is dubbed “Blood Sacrifice”)

🩸I created this look not as a symbol of defeat, but as a reminder.
A reminder of the blood shed by our people.
A reminder of those who were taken from their homes, stripped of their freedom, and forced to build a life for a nation that had not yet learned to call them free.
A reminder of the generations who endured chains, cruelty, silence, and struggle, yet still found a way to survive, resist, dream, and rise.

The red beneath the eyes is not weakness. It is memory.
It carries the pain of our ancestors, but it also carries their courage. Every crimson tear speaks of a people who were wounded but never erased, oppressed but never defeated. From the darkness of enslavement, they worked, endured, organized, and fought their way toward freedom.

Their hands shaped the land. Their voices carried through generations. Their resilience became the foundation on which our independence was built.

Forty-three years of independence is more than a number.
It is forty-three years of standing as a sovereign people. Forty-three years of remembering where we came from while continuing to define where we are going. It is the strength of Saint Kitts and Nevis, shaped by struggle, rooted in sacrifice, and carried forward by hope.

The blood of our people is not forgotten. It flows through our history, our culture, our music, our land, and our identity.
We are descendants of survivors.
We are heirs to resilience.
Happy 43rd Independence, Saint Kitts and Nevis.
Our red remembers. Our black honours. Our nation rises.
