Su Shi replied: "Do you know how the water and the moon work? The water flows away like this constantly, yet it is never truly gone. The moon waxes and wanes like that, yet it never grows or shrinks in the end. If you look at things from the perspective of change, then heaven and earth cannot last for even a blink of an eye. But if you look at them from the perspective of constancy, then both the universe and we are eternal. What is there to envy? Furthermore, between heaven and earth, everything has its rightful master. If something does not belong to you, you must not take even a single fraction of it. Only the cool breeze over the river, and the bright moon between the mountains, our ears hear them and make them music, our eyes see them and make them color. We can take them without anyone forbidding us, and we can enjoy them without them ever being exhausted. This is the infinite treasure house of the Creator, given to us for our mutual delight."

When I purchased this piece, Sounding Silence, it was during my first art auction on my first cruise. It was my first piece. I couldn't walk away from it. I still want to ask the artist Michael Cheval about it one day.

She, finally, hangs on my wall waiting to be part of the conversation.

제가 이 작품인 사운딩 사일런스를 구입했을 때, 이 작품은 제 첫 번째 미술품 경매와 첫 크루즈 여행 중이었어요. 크루즈 여행 중 처음 그린 그림이었어요. 도저히 떠날 수가 없었어요. 언젠가는 여전히 작가 이 작품에 대해 물어보고 싶어요.

테이크더리프트 is one of my favorite places to unwind with a sip. The drinks come and my friend's laughter and story telling gets louder. The calm, jazzy atmosphere and the kindness shown always brings me back.

테이크 더 리프트 제가 한 모금 마시고 긴장을 풀기 가장 좋아하는 장소 중 하나입니다. 음료가 오면 친구의 웃음소리와 이야기가 더 커집니다. 차분하고 재즈 같은 분위기와 보여준 친절함이 항상 저를 다시 돌아오게 합니다.
