Some people asked me about Sandra's lip color for this photo so here it is! Many times combining different colors is the best way to get that shade you want so I mixed 2 colors from my MAC palette. They are called Candy yum yum and Moxie.

Do you know who are some of our favorite kinds of people to collaborate with? That would be artists. From designers to musicians & vocalists, writers, painters, dancers, DJs, other photographers, you name it. People who have vision and talent and apply it (as known as world changers), they come to us for a couple of reasons: 1. They want to look good. And 2. They trust from the very beginning that the relationship is between creator & creator, forming a collaboration. Which means, it's not so much us saying "No, this is the way that vocalist photographs are..", but instead we ask first - We dig in deep into what they do, why they do it, and what is the connection. We then integrate those elements into the details of hair and makeup and the final imagery. It is super gratifying for us to facilitate other artists through what we do. That is why, the month of August is for Artists at MAP. We support you! Specials available for our fellow creatives.

The hottest months of summer are here and oily skins tend to become extra oily with the summer heat and humidity. So here is a great homemade recipe for a soothing facemask anyone can create at home with just bananas!
Ingredients:
• 1 banana, preferably ripe (you can keep ripe bananas in the freezer. Let it thaw before using)
• 2 tbsp honey
• An orange or a lemon
Preparation:
Mash up the banana, and then mix in the honey. For best results, put the ingredients in a blender.
Add a few drops of juice from an orange or a lemon.
Apply to face for 15 minutes before rinsing with a cool washcloth or a steaming warm washcloth. Follow with your regular moisturizer.
This will leave your face with a healthy shine as opposed to an oily shine!
