Sometimes, we may feel that we are not allowed to be happy, or we are unsure why we are not happy. If we were accustomed to living in fear or with insecurities, it can be daunting to let go of those negative feelings. Even though they are negative, they served a purpose. Leaving them behind means making space for the unknown, which can also be frightening, even when it comes to the feeling of happiness. Our feelings allow us to feel alive and give us a sense of existence. But for those who have been predominantly influenced by negative or heavy emotions, I invite you to believe that happiness is also a safe space, and you are allowed to feel happy.
