As early as 1966, Yves Saint Laurent spent his winters in Marrakech, finding in the Red City an endless source of inspiration and renewal for his haute couture collections.

There, he purchased his first home, the Villa Majorelle, just steps away from the gardens of Jacques Majorelle, and later, with Pierre Bergé, the legendary Jardin Majorelle.

Through Marrakech, YSL infused fashion with a new sense of freedom: an emancipated, sensual, and sun-drenched elegance that brought the city into the contemporary language of style.

Marrakech became an open-air atelier, a space of creative audacity where cultures meet, converse, and transform one another.

From this alchemy emerged a singular bohemian spirit, both sophisticated and instinctive, one that transcends time and disciplines. A spirit that goes beyond fashion to touch art, design, olfactory creation, hospitality, and the collective imagination.
