Kindness can be read on a person’s face. Sometimes, to understand what lies in someone’s heart, it is enough to look at them closely. A smiling or serious, yet calm and radiant face, together with a solemn, penetrating, but benevolent gaze—free of any air of superiority—are always the calling card of a person endowed with inner nobility.

Of course, an important attribute of our appearance is our clothing. No, expensive clothes do not define us, but clean and well-kept ones do. An older shirt—freshly ironed and harmoniously paired with a jacket—or a discreetly worn pair of shoes, carefully polished, are worth far more than the latest fashion trend sprinkled with pretension and arrogance.

From another point of view, kindness can also be perceived in the way someone expresses themselves, whether orally or in writing. Naturally for some, perhaps paradoxically for others, there is a direct connection between kindness and general culture. The more well-read and cultivated a person is, the more kindness and good sense they radiate.

No, you don’t need to express yourself in sophisticated, academic sentences every time. Sometimes, a simple sentence—logical, grammatically correct, and full of meaning—holds more value than an entire dictionary of neologisms. In the end, what matters is not only what you say, but how you say it: the tone of your voice, the rhythm of your speech, your facial expressions, your gestures, and so on.

Last but not least, kindness is revealed in our actions. In other words, true kindness is not seen only in words or intentions, but especially in behavior. A person may say they are kind, empathetic, or generous, but real kindness is recognized in concrete deeds. There are moments when a helping hand is more precious than a thousand pieces of advice.
