Today, 31 July 2026, held a peaceful demonstration during the visit of Sergio, the U.S. Special Envoy for Asia, to the Rohingya refugee camps in Bangladesh.
Thousands of Rohingya stood peacefully along the roadside with one shared hope: safe, voluntary, dignified, and sustainable repatriation to our homeland, Arakan (Rakhine State), Myanmar.
Our voices echoed with one united message:

Our demand is simple: we want to return home in safety, dignity, and with our fundamental rights guaranteed. The world must hear our voices and support a just and lasting solution for the Rohingya people.

Myanmar says it is ready to take back 300,000 Rohingya refugees from Bangladesh.
But where will they return?
But if the Myanmar government cannot effectively access parts of Rakhine State because of the ongoing conflict and the presence of the ( terrorist AA), how can Rohingya return there safely?
The homes and villages they fled nearly nine years ago have been destroyed, and parts of Rakhine State continue to be affected by conflict and insecurity.
The Rohingya do not just need a journey back—they need safety, dignity, justice, citizenship, and the guarantee that the atrocities of the past will never happen again.
Repatriation without these guarantees cannot be a lasting solution.
Two Rohingya men were captured and killed by the Arakan Army (AA)—a Rakhine extremist armed group—while herding cattle near the hills, and their bodies were buried. Villagers discovered the bodies after searching for several days. The victims were Nur Hasson and Nur Hakim.

Kuala Lumpur, July 29, 2026 — Myanmar has agreed to take back 5,000 Rohingya refugees currently living in Malaysia, Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim said.
Urgent Appeal to the Government of Bangladesh: Stop the Rising Kidnappings in Cox's Bazar and Teknaf
Respected Government of Bangladesh,
We respectfully appeal to you to take immediate and decisive action against the increasing number of kidnapping incidents in Cox's Bazar and Teknaf. Day after day, innocent people are being abducted, and many families are living in constant fear and uncertainty. Some victims remain missing, while others are held for ransom, causing immense suffering to their loved ones.
We urge the Government, law enforcement agencies, and all relevant authorities to strengthen security, investigate every kidnapping thoroughly, arrest those responsible, and ensure they are brought to justice in accordance with the law. No family should have to live in fear of losing their loved ones to criminal groups.
We also request increased security patrols, stronger protection in vulnerable areas, and effective measures to dismantle kidnapping networks. Ensuring the safety of all people—including refugees and local communities—is essential for peace and stability.
We sincerely hope the Government of Bangladesh will act swiftly and firmly to protect lives, uphold justice, and restore public confidence. Every person deserves to live without fear, and every victim deserves justice.
