Rita Pace won the 49th edition of L-Għanja Tal-Poplu with the song Narakom L-Infern. The lyrics were penned by Rita herself, with the music composed by Augusto Cardinali. Mark Tonna finished in second place with Moħħi Mistrieħ, while Mark Spiteri Lucas and Mark Micallef Costa came third with Skuri u Ċari. Għad Għanda Erba’ Snin, a song written by Peppi Azzopardi and performed by Graziella Mifsud Schembri Vella about a four-year-old Syrian girl who died of thirst out at sea, won the Social Theme Award. Meanwhile, Kayley’s Ersaq l-Hawn won the Broadcaster Award, Daryl James’ Aħfirli won the Singer Award, and Cheryl’s’ Inħobbok Wisq won the Enzo Gusman Award for Interpretation. Video: TVM
