Sometimes research begins with a walk through the forest. 🌿
I found this beauty where I least expected it — wild iris growing naturally in a Bosnian forest.
Iris florentina — also known as Florentine Iris — is one of the oldest plants in the perfume industry. Orris root has been the base of precious perfumes since antiquity.
But I'm interested in something different —
I'm currently making a macerate in cold-pressed almond oil — submerging the harvested flowers in almond oil and waiting. Will the oil keep that delicate floral scent? 🤍
