I love what I do, but I think my favourite part will always be seeing someone leave after treatment feeling happier than when they came. 🤍✨

That’s the kind of energy I want to give people.

Looking tired doesn’t always mean you need to “fix” something.

Sometimes it’s the puffiness, softer facial contours and that heavy feeling in the face that makes us look less fresh.

This is one of the reasons I love working with microcurrent. The goal isn’t to change your features. It’s a very natural approach for someone who wants their face to look fresher and more defined, without injectables.

I offer microcurrent treatments in Malta 🇲🇹

Want to know if it’s suitable for you? Send me “MICROCURRENT” in DM and I’ll explain everything. 🤍

Some skincare ingredients are trendy. Others have earned their reputation.

But even a brilliant ingredient can become a problem when it’s used in the wrong way.

The formula matters.
The strength matters.
How often you use it matters.
And what you combine it with matters too.

This is one of those ingredients I love but would never tell everyone to just start using without thinking about the rest of their routine.

Watch until the end to see which one I mean.

Would you have guessed it? 🤍

Melasma skincare: why did I choose these? 👀

☀️ SPF 50 over SPF 30
With melasma, I want high, broad-spectrum protection. And remember, SPF is not the whole story. UVA and visible light matter too.

Azelaic acid over Vitamin C
I love Vitamin C, but if I have to choose one for melasma, I’d choose azelaic acid. It targets pigmentation and also has anti-inflammatory properties.

Alpha arbutin over Vitamin C & niacinamide
I like alpha arbutin because it directly targets melanin production. In reality, though, I often combine ingredients that work in different ways.

Gentle treatment over a strong peel
With melasma, more aggressive doesn’t always mean better. Irritation and inflammation can make pigmentation more difficult to manage.

Pigment or inflammation? Both.
Melasma is more complex than just excess pigment. Inflammation can be part of the problem too.

Clear or tinted SPF? Tinted.
Visible light can contribute to pigmentation, which is why I prefer tinted sunscreens with iron oxides for melasma.

One strong active or a combination? Combination.
There isn’t one miracle ingredient for melasma. I prefer a well-planned routine where different ingredients have a reason to be there.

And finally, can you get rid of melasma forever? Unfortunately, no.
Melasma is chronic and can come back, but with the right approach it can be very well managed. 🤍

If you have melasma, SPF 50 is important, but it’s not the only thing I look at. ☀️

Visible light can also contribute to pigmentation, which is why I often recommend looking for a tinted sunscreen with iron oxides.

You can find iron oxides in the ingredient list as:
CI 77491, CI 77492 and CI 77499.

I also checked some options from Peaches&Crème Skincare for you. 🤍

If you have melasma, SPF is only part of the story. ☀️

Visible light can also contribute to pigmentation, which is why the type of sunscreen you choose matters.

What to look for:
✓ Tinted sunscreen
✓ Iron oxides
✓ Broad-spectrum SPF 30–50+

On the ingredient list, iron oxides may appear as CI 77491, CI 77492 and CI 77499.

Save this for your next SPF purchase 🤍

The best results come when your home skincare and professional treatments work together, not separately.

The right ingredients can make all the difference, but only when they’re right for your skin. ✨

Pigmentation, dehydration, sensitivity, fine lines… each concern may require a different approach.

And remember: you don’t need every trending active in your routine. You need the right combination for your skin.
