Humble reminder. As we are right in the busiest moment of the wedding industry, keep these in mind. 🌸

Things that you do which show absolute disrespect to your makeup artist:

1. You show them work from another artist and ask for the same for a different price. (Usually these artist have a different style and price range, if you wanted a service like theirs you should have hired them).

2. Bargaining: "Oh but x artist charges this rate, yours is higher, can't you give me a rebate?" WHY DID YOU NOT HIRE THE OTHER ARTIST AND LOOK LIKE A CLOWN?

3. You change date/venue and details of your dressup amd fail to inform your MUA in the shortest delay, they only get to know when confirming last minute details. For you it might just be a couple of hours or just a different location, for us its a whole planning done behind, transport, timing, food, potentially having to move other people who have also booked the same day. Let's be real, none of you lot are able to pay us for a full day, so we gotta grind and book back to back sometimes.

4. You ask for free services for your guest (e.g ou kav juste attache so saree ene cou? Ou kav met so eye liner?) When you go to a restaurant accompanied by someone, do you just ask for complimentary food for them?

5. YOU DO NOT RESPECT THE DATE/TIME you have been asked to do your payment and the MUA has to keep asking. While you might just have "forgotten and been busy"; we still have to pay our service providers: flower shops, delivery guys, taxi drivers, food supply (yes we have to eat, we're not robots, though some of you have absolutely no consideration for us). Needless to say how expensive makeup products are and how often we have to restock during ONE wedding sprint, not even the year.

6. YOUR MOUTH STINK - bruh, sorry i can only be direct and crude about this one. We literally work on your face, if your mouth stink of cigarette, drinks you had last night or the food that you just ate, PLEASE BRUSH YOUR TEETH AND HAVE A CHEWING GUM. Sometimes it's really difficult to keep up with the smell and deliver a good service. I personally make sure I am clean and my customers do not have to bear any kind of smell from me (can't vouch for other MUAs, i've seen one who actually does not even look like they showered, that's on them), so I do not expect or have to deal with these. Goinng forward i'll give you a gum if i find myself in this situation again, please don't feel offended, you could have avoided that by taking care of if by yourself.

7. LATENESS: we can wait like 10-15 minutes for a dressup session, waiting for over an hour or an hour and a half is unacceptable. If you cannot plan your events and respect your time slots, just realise that you're making us lose a lot of time that we could be using more constructively instead of just sitting in your wedding and waiting for you.
