A certification that guarantees cultivation without any chemical products, entirely manual farming practices, irrigation drawn solely from natural rainfall, and production exclusively within the territory of Rodrigues.

In Rodrigues, our palette was already there... In the Limon, the vegetation, the earth, the lagoon, and the light.

The island of Rodrigues is of volcanic origin; traces of basalt are plentiful, an immovable force of grey stone standing firm against the power of the Ocean.

For Basalte, we chose notes of warmth and energy, highlighting rich spices and raw woody accords. At the heart of the fragrance, warmth unfolds through Cardamom and the rich sweetness of Fig, harmoniously blended with the invigorating freshness of Tea.

The base is anchored by the deep earthy tones of Bourbon Vetiver, adding a layer of elegance and sophistication. The composition is gently illuminated at the top by the fresh zest of Limon de Rodrigues, infusing a vibrant energy and offering a striking contrast. This blend of notes creates Basalte, a Voyage à Rodrigues fragrance that is unique and authentically refreshing.

The Limon de Rodrigues was introduced to the island around 1750, brought over from Mexico. Isolated in the Indian Ocean and shaped by Rodrigues' limestone soils, the citrus evolved without cross-breeding with other plants, becoming an emblematic fruit with a truly distinctive flavor.
