Today is a special day. For a long time it looked like my streak of more than 8 years would break today. On my way home from Peru, one of my flights got cancelled, so I'm coming home on a modified route, through Bogotá and then London. Because of this, I'm spending the entire day today, Monday, travelling, since my plane will only land in Budapest after midnight. At check-in in Lima, I was told that I'd have to pick up my luggage in London, because it's a different airline and I'd need to check in again. That put my mind at ease, since my usual emergency bottle of Morinzhi was tucked away in my checked luggage. When I arrived in London, however, I was sorry to discover that my luggage hadn't arrived, and I was told that I'd been misinformed in Lima, and that my luggage was going straight to Budapest. I only had a few hours to solve the challenge, but I didn't give up. First I called Paulina, but the number I had for her was no longer active. I quickly called Anna, who could give me Paulina's new number. Paulina told me she wasn't in London and that the office was closed today too, since it's a public holiday, but that she'd do everything she could to help. She reached Ms Amina, who works at the London DXN office, and who was kind enough to go into the office, where an acquaintance of mine who handles airport transfers went to get the Morinzhi, and not only brought the Morinzhi to me at the airport, but also filmed me drinking it. The whole thing was only a few hours, but it felt very long. The point is, you must never give up, even when the situation often seems hopeless. Thank you so much to Anna, Paulina, Ms Amina, and Joco for their quick help, without them the streak would have broken.
