I kept everything soft, muted, low contrast and slightly dusty to match her natural soft autumn features 💖

Instead of making the makeup too bold or sharp, I focused more on harmony. Softer rosy-pink tones, blurred transitions, and colours that melt naturally into her features.

She also wanted something slightly pinker than the usual soft autumn palette, so I adjusted the tones while still keeping that soft muted feeling that flatters her naturally 🥹

This is why I love colour analysis so much in bridal makeup. When the colours truly suit the bride, somehow everything just looks softer, healthier, fresher and more expensive without needing super heavy makeup ✨

Spent some time at the pop-up to get shade matched for their newest foundation.

Really appreciate how they approached undertone matching, especially for deeper and more nuanced skin tones. As a makeup artist, this part always matters the most to me. I took home a few samples to test it properly.

So far, the finish leans towards a soft natural matte… skin-like, but more polished. Curious to see how it performs in our weather and on different skin types, especially for long wear.

A gentle yellow like this can easily overpower the face if the makeup is too light… but going too bold wouldn’t feel like her either. So I kept everything balanced, fresh, and slightly lifted in tone to match the brightness of her outfit 💛

Notice how the skin still looks like skin, but brighter… eyes softly defined, and lips kept sweet to tie everything together.

What I love most is how easily both formulas blend into the skin, and how effortlessly the shades match Malaysian skin tones. Everything just looks harmonious without needing to overthink.

The lip liners have always been my favourite, so I’m really happy to add more shades into my kit hehe. For the liquid colours, I’ve been using them as blush and I love how lightweight they feel. They don’t feel sticky, and I don’t get that oily feeling, so it should hold well in our hot, humid weather 🥵
