God Commands Joshua to Conquer Canaan
1After the death of the Lord's servant Moses, the Lord spoke to Moses' helper, Joshua son of Nun. 2 He said, “My servant Moses is dead. Get ready now, you and all the people of Israel, and cross the River Jordan into the land that I am giving them. 3 *As I told Moses, I have given you and all my people the entire land that you will be marching over. 4 Your borders will reach from the desert in the south to the Lebanon Mountains in the north; from the great River Euphrates in the east, through the Hittite country, to the Mediterranean Sea in the west. 5 *Joshua, no one will be able to defeat you as long as you live. I will be with you as I was with Moses. I will always be with you; I will never abandon you. 6 *Be determined and confident, for you will be the leader of these people as they occupy this land which I promised their ancestors. 7 Just be determined, be confident; and make sure that you obey the whole Law that my servant Moses gave you. Do not neglect any part of it and you will succeed wherever you go. 8 Be sure that the book of the Law is always read in your worship. Study it day and night, and make sure that you obey everything written in it. Then you will be prosperous and successful. 9 Remember that I have commanded you to be determined and confident! Don't be afraid or discouraged, for I, the Lord your God, am with you wherever you go.”

O problema é quando Jesus veio pela manhã e disse: 'Você tem algum peixe?' e eles disseram que não. Ele não os aconselhou a mudar o rio, em vez disso, aconselhou-os a lançar as redes mais fundo.

Continuity theme: obstacles of rejection and opposition Num 21:21-24.

Still on verse 22..
The Israelites also promised not to drink water from Amorites wells and not to enter their fields and vineyards.

Verse 23. The people of Israel may have preferred serenity, but they were met with hostility. Sihon refused Israel's request to pass through his territory. Furthermore, Sihon attacked the people of Israel and forced them to fight for their lives. The battle occurred at Jahaz.

Believers cannot always enjoy the blessings of peace and tranquillity.
We cannot avoid some fights. For instance, we cannot dodge the conflict of truth against falsehood and of good against evil.

Verse 24a. The Israelites didn't back away from the fight. They met Sihon's army, defeated the Amorites, and took possession of their land. God enabled His people to overcome the obstacles of rejection and opposition. Instead of delivering believers from hardships, God often empowers them to fight valiantly through the difficulties to gain victory.
WHAT ABOUT YOU?
Most, if not all, of us know about dealing with obstacles. We encounter various kinds of them. At times obstacles seem to loom largest when we are trying to serve the Lord. Sometimes we feel tempted to complain against God and His leaders in the church.
Sometimes we get weary and impatient with the journey. We want instant blessings and immediate success. When we experience opposition and rejection, we may feel tempted to respond the wrong way. Remember that obstacles are not immovable to God. He has promised to enable us to triumph if we will follow His leadership. Take His hand and press on!.

TRIUMPHING OVER OBSTACLES..

Life Among Amorites (21:21-35)----After Sihon, King of the Amorites, refused the Israelites passage through his land, the Lord enabled the Israelites to defeat Sihon and to conquer Heshbon, a key Amorite city. The Israelites also defeated Og, king of Bashan, and possessed his territory.

Theme: OBSTACLES OF REJECTION AND OPPOSITION (NUM. 21:21-24a)

21. And Israel sent messengers unto Sihon king of the Amorites, saying, 22. Let me pass through thy land: we will not turn into the fields, or into the vineyards; we will not drink of the waters of the well: but we will go along by the king's high way, until we be past thy borders. 23. And Sihon would not suffer Israel to pass through his border: but Sihon gathered all his people together, and went out against Israel into the wilderness: and he came to Jahaz, and fought against Israel. 24. And Israel smote him with the edge of the sword, and possessed his land from Arnon unto Jabbok, even unto the children of Ammon: for the border of the children of Ammon was strong.

Verse 21. The people of Israel sought permission from King Sihon to pass through Amorite territory. Moses hoped for a peaceful passage. In the context of Numbers 21:21 the term Amorites referred to a group of people east of the Jordan River under Sihon's rule. Sihon ruled from the city of Heshbon. Israel needed to pass through this Amorite area in order to reach Canaan.

Verse 22. The Israelites issued an honorable request. They promised to follow the King's highway, the main route. This highway was an ancient roadway, a well-worn track, used to transport goods in caravans from Damascus to the Gulf of Ababa.

Friends Forever............

At my former teacher train institute , one friend and I used to share our thoughts about life itself. Stories, life's experiences. "Friends Are Friends Forever." We had quite quarrels related to assignments and homeworks, blowups. A. Friendship coming back again.

We nearly didn't make it through because of difficulties- the unexpected Spread ' virus came. After all we'd been through, it was a sweet moment to share together.

So, we had to stop carry on with our projects . As the year went by, our lives went in different directions. Sonio started in new project and I moved away. Before long, we
hadn't talked in over seven months.
I received a phone call , it was Sonio. We greeted each other, talked chatting here and there. Since that time up this far : we send notes of encouragement and jokes to each other freely. I'm so blessed to have this gift of friendship with Sonio and to know that we will live together in eternity. Thank You, Jesus.

There are long-term friends and there are friends for a season. When you experience a long-term friendship, you have received a rare gift from God. How the gift of friendship grows and matures is up to each of you in the relationship. Deep connection is necessary to keep a relationship fruitful and growing. Many of us are fortunate to have our friends live close by, where it's easier to connect and make intentional plans to be with one another. Others have the added obstacle of distance, where one of you has moved away. Think of ways that you can reach out to your friend today. Write a letter, send an e-card, go out for dinner or work on a project together. Look for ways to strengthen and deepen the friendship God has brought to you. Share with each other the richness and blessings of your spiritual walk, and encourage each other in the faith.
