It can never be me.
That was what I told myself years ago.

After all the stress of school, sleepless nights, exams, and graduation… I was sure of one thing — I would never run a makeup or hair styling business.

In my head, my life was already planned: graduate, get a 9–5 job, dress corporate, be that professional boss lady in an office.

Well… life happened.

Before I went to school, my dad insisted I must learn a skill. I didn’t argue much because I already loved making people look beautiful, so I chose hairstyling and makeup. At that time, it was purely passion — not business, not money. Just something I enjoyed doing.

While I was in school, it dawned on me that I could still build a business while working a corporate job. That was when the idea of branding my passion was born.

That’s how Goody’s Glam came to life — a name inspired by my own name, Goodnews, and everything good, beautiful, and confidence-boosting. I began to dream of a beauty space where women could come to enhance their looks and feel good about themselves.

I invested in learning. I went for upgrades. I showed up even on days it felt slow.
Today, I may not be exactly where I want to be yet, but I am deeply grateful to Jehovah for how far this brand has grown.

Sometimes I ask myself: What if I never learned a skill?
Maybe I would have succeeded in another way — but I’m thankful I didn’t have to find out the hard way.

So while I wait for some of my bigger dreams to unfold, I will keep building Goody’s Glam — unapologetically, intentionally, and with pride.

Goody’s Glam is where passion meets creativity.
And this… is my story.

Lesson: No matter your qualification, degree, or career plan learn a skill. It may not be your main plan today, but it could become your biggest blessing tomorrow.
