I just felt like saying something today.

In a time when everybody is trying to become a content creator and make money online, especially young people, please don’t lose yourself. Don’t lose your values, your morals, or the proper home training you were raised with just because you want to trend or go viral.

Sometimes, you may feel like the reasonable, decent, and authentic things you’re talking about aren’t bringing you enough followers, likes, views, or engagement. And because you see the things the world is applauding, you may be tempted to switch up and become someone you’re not just to get attention.

Please, don’t.

Don’t lose yourself trying to trend.

You don’t have to compromise your values for views. You don’t have to become controversial, indecent, or fake just because that seems to be what gets people talking.

Be yourself. Stay true to who you are. Stay grounded in the values that matter to you.

Your authenticity may not always bring the biggest crowd immediately, but the right people will find you. Your people will come.
