SKIN TYPES
This refers to the condition or feel of your skin. Skin types vary based on water content,oil and sensitivity. The skin type varies regardless of the skin tone.
1. Normal skin:Not too oily or dry,an even complexion and sensitivity.
2. Oily skin: Oily all over with enlarged pores and a thick, shiny complexion that is prone to blackheads and breakouts.
3. Dry skin: All over dryness with a rough, reddish complexion, almost no visible pores,less elasticity and more visible lines.
4. Combination skin: Skin can be oily in some areas like T-zone (forehead) ,and dry in others with overly dilated pores and a shiny complexion.
5. Sensitive skin: Easily irritated skin that shows up in the form of redness,itching burning or dryness.

THE SKIN
The Skin is the outer protective layer of the body of any animal, including human. It is the largest organ of the body with a total area of about 20sq.ft. The skin is a protective agent against microbes.
It might interest you that the skin has 3 layers; epidermis;the outermost layer which provides a waterproof for the skin and creates a skin tone,dermis:it is beneath the epidermis and contains a tough connective tissue,hair follicles,and sweat glands and the deeper subcutaneous tissue which is made up of fat and connective tissue.

What is SKIN TONE and SKIN UNDERTONE?
Skin Tone is the surface skin colour which is determined by the amount of melanin present in the uppermost layer of the skin, while Skin Undertone is the subtle tone underneath the surface.

Types of Skin Tone
1. WARM UNDERTONE:The veins on the inside of your wrists have a purple-bluish colour. Your skin tends to get a golden or honey colour from sun exposure.
2. COOL UNDERTONE: Green-bluish colour of veins. Skin tends to burn or gets a rosy colour from sun exposure.
3. NEUTRAL UNDERTONE: It's hard to tell if veins on the inside of the wrists appears more purple or green. Skin tends to tan from sun burn.
