*TOPIC:- PRAY FOR MISSIONS FIELDS*
📖 *FURTHER READING*
JONAH 3:4--8
🔑 *KEY VERSE:*
"Do you not say, There are still four months and then comes the harvest'? Behold, I say to you, lift up your eyes and look at
the fields, for they are already white for harvest!" (John 4:35)
📜 *ONE YEAR STUDY PLAN*
2 KINGS 20–21
🖊️ *COMMENTARY*
Historically and culturally, the Assyrian culture of the Ninevites was godless, brutal, and fiercely courageous in conquering their enemies. Yet, God sent a fearful Jonah, warning the Ninevites
of imminent judgement (Jonah 3:4-5). So the King issued a decree: "Let everyone turn from his evil way and from the violence that is in his hands (Jonah 3:8). "Predictably, the Lord responded with forgiveness, and the judgmental disaster was cancelled. The world lies in gross darkness just like the ancient Nineveh. No wonder, Jesus told his disciples to look at the field that the harvest is ripe, but labourers are few, pray ....A.B. Simpson, the great missionary pastor, said, "Prayer is the mighty engine that is to move the missionary work." Just as you cannot move a train forward without the engine, so you cannot move missions forward without the engine of prayer.
We can never imagine what praying for specific nations and unreached people groups can do. We cannot do missions without prayer, and your prayers make a difference. So today, we will pray for the various Missions fields of the Assemblies of God Nigeria, Home and Abroad. Pray for our Foreign Missions fields in Niger Republic, Tchad, Guinea, Gabon, Dubai, Cameroon and Central Africa Republic. Home Missions fields: Missions Gembu and Missions Kwara, Ekiti and Oyo.
1. Pray for their local friendships, for open hearts, and transformed lives. (Colossians 4:3, ESV).
2. Pray for the word of God to mightily prevail and grow.
3. Pray against the powers of darkness that are in control of these regions.
There are some great resources out there, like Operation World and the Joshua Project that will help us pray for the missions field until Revelation 7:9 is fulfilled.

The richest PASTOR in the WORLD is not as rich as the 20th richest MAN in AFRICA yet people are angry that pastors eat.
The wealthiest pastors on the global stage, those constantly used as proof texts for “church money”, do not come close to the top tier of global or even African wealth. In Africa alone, by the time you get to the 20th richest man, you won’t see the name of any clergy.
Yet nobody wakes up angry that these men are rich.
No hashtags. No outrage. No “sell your jets” sermons. No moral lectures.
But let a pastor eat well, live decently, or prosper visibly, and suddenly the internet becomes a council of apostles.
The problem is not money. The problem is who is allowed to have it.
Abraham was rich.
Isaac waxed great.
Jacob increased exceedingly.
David had treasuries.
Solomon’s wealth redefined economic history.
Joseph ran a national economy.
None of them were rebuked for being blessed. They were rebuked only when their hearts drifted.
When a pastor prospers, it confronts people with a spiritual reality they’d rather avoid
So instead of examining systems, fruit, doctrine, or impact, people choose the lazy argument
“He’s too rich to be of God.”
Yet the same critics will spend their money on musicians who glorify immorality, influencers who sell vanity, and brands that exploit labor without blinking.
People don’t hate rich pastors.
They hate the idea that spiritual labor can be as valuable as physical, intellectual, or corporate labor.
But value is not decided by sentiment, it is decided by impact.
If a man feeds souls, raises leaders, restores families, builds systems, funds missions, educates minds, and points men to God, then his reward is not theft, it is justice.
A pastor’s prosperity does not reduce your pocket. Your anger does not increase your own harvest.
The richest pastor is still far from the richest men shaping economies, yet only one group is constantly asked to apologize for success.
That tells you everything.
Because the real war was never about money.
It was about influence.
And nothing threatens a broken system like a spiritual voice that is not poor, not hungry, and not silent.
People don’t have issues with pastors feeding.
They have issues with pastors thriving while telling the truth.
In our time, the kingdom shall be established through prosperity and influence.
