The Campaign seeks to empower individuals and communities with a message that is simple but powerful: brain health should be a routine conversation in every Nigerian family long before a crisis arrives.

Brain health is about keeping your mind sharp, your mood stable, your relationships strong, and your quality of life intact from youth to old age.

For the first time, Nigeria’s Federal Ministry of Health and Social Welfare commemorated the World Brain Day!
It's a good step forward.
We look forward to the implementation of the commitments made.

In Abuja, Nigeria, we participated at the commemoration of the by the Federal Ministry of Health and Social Welfare. The Permanent Secretary, other senior officials of the ministry, development partners, NGOs, health professionals were in attendance.

Three key policy statements were made;
1. Creation of a Brain Health Desk in the National Mental Health Programme
2. Approval givem for the development of a National Brain Health Agenda.
3. World Brain Day to be commemorated annually and included in the calendar of events by the Ministry.

This is a step forward. Congratulations, Nigeria.
