WHICH SUNSCREEN IS BEST FOR YOU?
Sequel to yesterday's post on sunscreen, in very simple terms, there are 2 types of sunscreen: Physical and Chemical sunscreen.
PHYSICAL SUNSCREEN: This basically sits on top of the skin and reflects off sun rays. Its major ingredients are Zinc oxide and Titanium oxide.

CHEMICAL SUNSCREEN: It's absorbed into the skin when applied and works by absorbing the sun rays, converts the rays to heat and releases them. Ingredients to look out for here are : oxybenzone, avobenzone, octinoxate..
If your skin is sensitive or oily and acne prone, I'll advise you stick with physical sunscreen because the risk of irritation with it is low compared to chemical sunscreen. Other skin types can use either chemical sunscreen or physical sunscreen.
This is not to mean sensitive and acne prone skin cannot use chemical sunscreen. Everyone's skin is different and responds differently to products.
My advise will always be to do a patch test for any new product you need to use on your skin.
