Here's a simple vanilla cake recipe for you:

Ingredients:
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 3/4 cups granulated sugar
- 3 large eggs, room temp
- 2 tsp pure vanilla extract
- 1 cup whole milk, at room temp

Instructions:
1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease two 9-inch round pans.
2. Whisk flour, baking powder, and salt in a bowl.
3. Beat butter and sugar till fluffy. Add eggs one by one, beating well.
4. Add vanilla extract and mix.
5. Gradually add flour mixture and milk, alternating between both, beginning and ending with flour mixture. Beat till combined.
6. Divide batter evenly and pour into prepared pans.
7. Bake for 30-35 minutes or till a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
8. Let cool in pans for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack.
