I honestly didnāt expect my last video to bring back so many memories. Reading comments from Nigeria, Ghana, Togo, Cameroon and beyond made me smile.
This is how I cook the cassava & corn flour swallow I grew up eating.
In a bowl add water and your preferred measurement of flour
Mix well
And pour into a pot of boiling water,stir continuously and add more flour
Stir well and add small hot water,cover and allow to cook.
After 10-20mins,stir again n itās readyš
One question thoughā¦ what soup is the perfect match for this swallow?
Some of the best foods didnāt disappear because they werenāt good, we just stopped making them.
Today, Iām bringing back one of the traditional swallows many of us grew up with.
This simple swallow is made with just dried corn and cassava, grind,mix together and store in either an airtight container or in your fridge.
