The Truth About Handwashing & Food Preparation
********************************************************
The most important ingredient in any meal is not raw food, flour, oil, or spices. It is clean hands.
Before you touch any food, your hands must be properly washed. A quick rinse under water is not enough to remove germs. Proper handwashing means using soap, scrubbing all parts of your hands (including between your fingers and under your nails) for at least 20 seconds, then rinsing and drying with a clean towel.
Think about how often your hands come in contact with bacteria, which is through your phone, money, raw food, surfaces, and even your face. Now imagine transferring all of that into the food you prepare. That’s how easily contamination happens.
Always wash your hands before cooking, after handling raw ingredients like eggs or meat, after using the toilet, after touching waste, and even after handling money or your phone.
Food safety begins with simple habits. Something as basic as proper handwashing can prevent a large number of foodborne illnesses in your home.
Don’t just focus on making your food look good, but make sure it is safe for everyone who eats it.
You know, just like this leftover stew, the world might look at it and say "that's old, that's done, throw it away." But I see potential. I see flavour. I see something worth saving.
And that's exactly what God sees when He looks at you. Not what you've been through. Not where you've wandered. Not what you've lost.
He sees something worth coming back for.
So if you feel like a leftover today, forgotten, broken, or far from where you should be, I want you to know that Love has already paid the price for you.
Love redeems, love restores, and love returns.
Have a blessed week ahead. And enjoy your meal.

Every cake, snack, and meal you consume passes through many hands before reaching you.
The question is, were those hands clean? Was that kitchen safe? Was that ingredient fresh?
This week, we begin a food safety series that will change how you look at the food you eat.
