Motherhood is not always easy… but it is always worth it ❤️
In these quiet moments—when my baby rests peacefully in my arms—I’m reminded that love doesn’t always need words. It’s in the sleepless nights, the sacrifices, the strength we never knew we had, and the gentle smiles that make everything okay again.
To every mother out there: you are doing better than you think. Even on the tired days, even when no one sees your effort—your love is shaping a life, a future, a world.
Hold them close. Cherish every moment. One day, these little arms will grow, but the love will remain forever 💕

🍼 STARTING 6 MONTHS FEEDING: A SIMPLE GUIDE FOR MUMS
At 6 months, breast milk or formula alone is no longer enough to meet your baby’s growing nutritional needs. This is the stage we introduce complementary feeding – soft foods alongside milk to support healthy growth and development.
✅ WHY WE FEED AT 6 MONTHS (The Essence)
Each feeding has a purpose:
🥣 Morning Feeding
Provides energy to start the day and supports brain development.
🥣 Midday Feeding
Supports muscle growth, strengthens immunity, and replenishes nutrients.
🥣 Evening Feeding
Promotes satiety, better sleep, and steady weight gain.
🍼 Breast milk / Formula
Still remains the main source of nutrition, hydration, and emotional bonding.

IMPORTANT TIPS FOR MUMS
✔ Introduce one new food at a time
✔ Food should be smooth & lump-free
✔ Start with small quantities (2–3 teaspoons)
✔ No salt, sugar, honey, or seasoning cubes
✔ Observe for allergies (rashes, vomiting, diarrhoea)
---
💧 WATER?
Yes, small amounts of clean water can be given after meals.
---
🌼 Motherhood is a journey, and every spoonful is love.
Feeding your baby right today builds a healthier tomorrow.
6 Months Feeding Mistakes Every New Mum Should Avoid
Starting complementary feeding at 6 months is a beautiful milestone, but many mums unknowingly make mistakes that can affect their baby’s nutrition, growth, and digestion.
Here are the common ones to avoid 👇🏽
1️⃣ Starting too early or too late
Introducing foods before 6 months can strain your baby’s immature gut, while delaying beyond 6 months may lead to nutrient deficiency, especially iron.
2️⃣ Replacing breastmilk/formula too quickly
At 6 months, food is still a complement, not a replacement. Breastmilk or formula should remain the main source of nutrition.
3️⃣ Giving adult spices and salt
Babies’ kidneys are not ready for salt, seasoning cubes, or peppery foods. Keep meals natural and mild.
4️⃣ Introducing too many foods at once
This makes it hard to identify allergies or intolerance. Introduce one new food at a time and observe for 2–3 days.
5️⃣ Poor food texture
Too watery = low nutrients
Too thick = choking risk
Aim for smooth, soft, mashed or well-pureed consistency.
6️⃣ Forcing the baby to eat
Crying, turning away, or closing the mouth are signs of fullness. Forcing can create feeding aversion.
---
✅ What You Should Do Instead
✔️ Start with soft foods like pap, mashed yam, pureed vegetables and fruits
✔️ Feed small amounts 2–3 times daily
✔️ Continue breastfeeding on demand
✔️ Maintain strict hygiene during preparation
✔️ Be patient and responsive
---
💡 Remember:
At 6 months, feeding is about learning, not perfection. Every spoonful is progress.

🌍 A Cry for the Voiceless
Too many children are suffering silently in homes that promised them “care.”
Children left in the hands of relatives or guardians are often treated like strangers in their own family.
While the biological children are dressed in neat clothes and sent to good schools, these little ones wear rags, do the hardest jobs, and are left looking unkept.
They are mocked.
They are neglected.
They are treated as less than human.
But every child deserves love.
Every child deserves care.
Every child deserves dignity.
The child you maltreat today could have been your own.
The child you deny tomorrow may become the hand that could have lifted you up.
💔 Let us stop this wickedness.
💔 Let us stop the unfair treatment.
💔 Let us remember that every child is a gift from God.
No child should ever grow up feeling unloved, unwanted, or unequal.
🙏 Please, if you have another person’s child in your home, treat them as your own.

Everything in life is a gamble, every decision is a bet and there’s always something at stake, even if you don’t see it that way. You can’t escape this paradigm, you can only embrace it.
And of course some risks are better than others.
