SKINCARE IS FOR EVERYBODY — MEN INCLUDED.
Taking care of your skin shouldn't be seen as something only women do.
Men have skin too, and that skin needs proper care.
You don't need a complicated routine or a bathroom full of products. Start with the basics:
✨ Cleanse your skin properly
✨ Moisturise regularly
✨ Protect your skin from the sun
✨ Pay attention to changes in your skin
When skincare is neglected, the skin can become dry, rough, dull and unhealthy-looking. And with age, signs of ageing naturally become more visible.
The goal isn't to use the most products.
The goal is to understand your skin and take proper care of it.
So gentlemen, please don't leave skincare to the women. 😂
Buy your own products. Build a simple routine. Take care of your skin.
Healthy skin has no gender. 💚

Let me tell you something about my skin during pregnancy. ❤️
During my pregnancy, I noticed a very dark patch under my breast. It was so obvious and, honestly, I wasn't happy about it.
But I didn't start looking for strong lightening creams or piling different products on it.
I went back to something very simple.
Shea butter + coconut oil.
That was it.
I used the butter consistently, and within about a week, I noticed that the patch had started fading. By the second week, it was gone.
Now, I’m sharing this because it worked for me. I’m not saying shea butter and coconut oil will magically clear every dark patch on everybody's skin.
Our skin is different, and the reason for the pigmentation matters.
Sometimes, simple really is enough. But sometimes, that dark patch is your skin telling you that you need to find out why it is happening before treating it.
Don't just see a dark patch and start buying every tube you see. Know your skin first. ❤️
Have you ever noticed any unexpected skin changes during pregnancy?
Disclaimer: This is my personal experience and not a treatment recommendation. Skin concerns can have different causes, so what worked for me may not work for everyone.

These tubes… 😩😂
One thing I notice a lot is how quickly we pick up a tube and start putting it on our face because someone said,*“This one cleared my face.”
Pimples? Tube.
Dark spots? Another tube.
Something is irritating the skin? Another one. 😩
But before you put that next tube on your face, do you actually know what is inside it?
Do you know the active ingredients?
Do you know the strength?
Do you know what the product is meant to treat?
And do you know how you're supposed to use it?
Don't get me wrong — there are effective treatments that come in tubes. The issue is using products blindly just because they worked for someone else.
Your friend's skin is not your skin.
And when you're already dealing with acne, breakouts or pigmentation, using products wrongly or constantly irritating the skin can make things even more difficult to manage.
Skincare should be intentional, not trial and error.
Understand your skin. Understand your ingredients. Use products appropriately and give your skin time and consistency.
Have you ever used a tube simply because someone recommended it to you? 😂

One thing I always tell people when it comes to skincare…
Please don’t spend all your money buying different products and then forget your sunscreen.
If you’re trying to clear dark spots, reduce hyperpigmentation and maintain healthy-looking skin, sunscreen is not something to ignore.
Your skincare routine doesn’t end with your cream or serum. You need to protect the work you’re doing too.
And no, sunscreen is not only for when you’re going to the beach o.
Make it a daily habit.
I talked about this and other simple skincare principles in my new ebook, The Clear Skin Blueprint.
Sometimes, it’s not about using plenty products. It’s about knowing what your skin needs and being consistent.
Please, let's stop putting raw lemon on our faces because we want to clear dark spots. 🍋😩
I know this is one of those skincare tips many of us grew up hearing, but natural doesn't automatically mean skin-friendly.
Raw lemon can irritate the skin, and when your skin is already dealing with pigmentation, irritation is the last thing you need.
When it comes to your skin, think **gentle, consistent and protected.
Healthy-looking skin isn't about trying everything you hear. It's about understanding what your skin needs.
I shared more of my skincare principles in "The Clear Skin Blueprint'. 📖

Let's talk about something a lot of us deal with but don't always talk about enough.
Acne, dark spots and hyperpigmentation can be so frustrating.
Sometimes you change products, try another cream, add another serum... and somehow your skin still isn't doing what you want.
And honestly, sometimes the problem isn't that you need MORE products.
You may just need to understand your skin better and know what you're putting on it and why.
That's something I really want us to talk more about here on Vinica Verde — understanding our skin, taking care of it properly and keeping things simple.
Healthy, clear, glowing skin doesn't have to mean having a shelf full of products.
Let's learn our skin together.
