There is no secret to hair growth just CONSISTENCY!
Consistency is key
You should not do something once and expect your hair to dramatically change!
You have to be consistent with your routine. Do more of the good stuff( care for it the right way with the right products) it actually not hard growing long and healthy hair...I always moisturize my hair at least daily... I noticed that people who complain about "breakage" and "hard hair" rarely moisturize and condition their hair, I rarely use comb I rather finger detangle.
The Harmattan season is here!🤗🤗 and it's here to stay.. Therefore ladies, your moisturizing game needs to be on top! for your hair to strive this period.
Here are few tips you'll be needy to win
1) Do hot oil treatment (use penetrating oils like olive oil, coconut oil, Avocado oil etc This oils helps to fortify, nourish and protect your strands.) B4 you wash your hair
2) wash your hair weekly ( to get rid of dirt and build ups)
3) Deep condition( with heat to help hydrate and strengthen your hair)
4) moisturize your hair( using Shea butter or any hair butter... Then go ahead and Baggy your hair. Baggying your hair aid in rehydrating the hair to prevent dryness)
5) Always wear a protective style(It helps to protect the ends of your hair from the harsh weather. Note, keeping your ends protected will allow you to retain moisture and length.
Finally, don't forget to stay hydrated. Water should be your "Bestie" this period.... I'm sure you don't want the weather to dry your hair, skin and blood(lol🤣🤣🤣)
Remember; invest in your hair, it's the CROWN you never take off
Being natural is no walk in the park for many. The struggle is definitely real. I want to be one of the women that offers immense support, encouragement and the courage you need to hang in a little more each day of your natural hair journey.... The pictures speaks for itself.

The goal of protective style is to PREVENT DAMAGE, REDUCE MANIPULATION and ultimately you RETAIN length
If it's not doing that, then it is not a protective style... I did this PS with KINKCHIC MOISTURISING NATURAL HAIR GROWTH BUTTER and KINKCHIC STIMULATING HAIR GROWTH OIL ELIXIR/ Coconut oil(after washing and deep conditioning hair with KINKCHIC HERBAL DEEP CLEANSING SHAMPOO and THE RAW MAISHANU AND CHEBE INTENSE MOISTURE AND REPAIR DEEP CONDITIONING HAIR GROWTH)

My name is Maureen Aggie Alor aka MAA and I've been fully natural for 2 years and 19days( my brain is still active). I big chop 1st October 2016 for 2 reasons
1) The cost of maintaining my hair was expensive and the process was quite painful
2) I wanted to look different lets say I wanted Alicia keys "Brand new me" if you know you know (lolz)
My hair type is 4c and 4B (lolz funny hair). My strands are thick and coarse, it's dark, and it can be very annoying sometimes but beautiful most times.
When I became natural, I remember I was so clueless and confused😩🤔 for months even with all the videos I had consumed... I'd see certain natural hair terms and become even more confused 🤣🤣🤣🙈 the struggle was real... I made so many mistakes... So, sweetheart in case you're as confused, well it's totally normal, we've all been there... I'm even still there😀😀
The first step to growing healthy hair and making your natural hair journey stress free is understanding your natural hair.. Most west Africans have curly and kinky hair unless you're mixed. Our hair texture and curls pattern makes our hair susceptible to dryness and breakage this is due to so many reasons( watch out for my next post for this reasons), so understanding your natural hair will go a long way in helping you grow and manage your hair. Note, it's also important to know your hair porosity, density etc
Secondly, to make your natural hair journey less hectic and enjoyable, you have to build a hair care regime. Having a good care routine can change your hair game from like 0-100. Note, the routine should be based on your schedule... For beginner, i recommend you stick with the basics, then as you get better you can spice it up all you want. When building a hair care regime, you can't be stingy koko if you want to be natural 😀😜 you'd have to, invest! Yes your hair is your Crown.. You can't take it off.. However, your investment must be wise... You need to invest in necessary products(because honestly some products are unnecessary) I remember the first 14 months of my natural hair journey I was washing my hair with a shampoo that contains sulfate🤣🤣🤣😢😭( you can imagine the level of damage I was causing on my hair) Thus, the necessary products includes
1) A shampoo and conditioner that is sulfate free
2) A leave in conditioner
3) A deep conditioner
4) oils... ( Good news I sell these products.. They are all Nigeria products that are made specially for the African woman, so don't sleep on them😌💅🏽
Lastly, invest in the right tools... Trust me sweetheart your hands are not enough, you'll need some basic tools to make this journey worthwhile.... At least for starters you'll need
1) Satin bonnet/ scarf
2) Hair clips
3) Wide tooth comb
4) Spray bottle
5) Hair brush( denman brush)
6) Hair packs/ bands
7) Bobby pins... (Check out beauty on Instagram.. Yea! You're welcome)
Having these tools at your disposal is germane to make your natural hair journey less hectic🤗😍... Let me stop here... I hope this post have been able to inspire someone to continue their journey or even embark on it, to love and accept their God given hair and embrace who they are😍😍😘😘 one thing I love about been natural is it brought back my self confidence, I've learn to love and accept myself the way I am despite what the society thinks... Been natural has taught me that "my natural hair is enough" to make me look beautiful.🤗🤗🤭 and that's why I'll always love, care and nurture her.. I love my God given hair and I wouldn't change it if I had the chance to! I'm Maureen Aggie Alor aka MAA and I promote the beauty and awesomeness of healthy natural hair

If you have relaxed hair and want natural hair, you need to stop relaxing your hair and cut it off or transition. Transitioning is when you stop apply relaxer and let your natural hair grow out then you cut the relaxed part off after some time when the natural hair grows to some length.
