A Papule is a small red bump.
Papules don't have a yellow or white center of pus. When a Papule does accumulate pus, it becomes a pustule and it can take a few days for it to happen.
While tempting, it is recommended not to pop pustules. Doing so can risk bacteria spreading further as well as scarring(dark spots)

*How do acne papules form?*

When excess oil and skin cells clog a skin pore, the blockage is known as comedone.

The oil in this clogged pore feeds bacteria that live on your skin called propionibacterium acnes ( P. acnes)
If the comedone ruptures and disperses the bacteria into the skin tissue-as opposed to on the skin's surface - your body will respond with inflammation to fight bacteria giving rise to papules.

*What causes Papules?*

👉🏼 Excess oil production
👉🏼 Excess activity of androgens
👉🏼Stress
👉🏼 Consuming too much sugar
👉🏼 Medication/Cream containing corticosteroids.

*Acne Papule Prevention Tips*
👉🏼 Wash your face with a mild Cleanser two times a day.
👉🏼 Follow a daily skincare regimen.
👉🏼Use products that suit your skin type.
👉🏼 Moisturize and apply sunscreen.
👉🏼 Follow a healthy diet.
👉🏼 Drink at least 2 litres of water daily.
👉🏼Use lukewarm water while washing your face.
