Hair porosity refers to how well your hair absorbs and retains moisture. There are three main porosity levels:

1. Low Porosity
2. Medium Porosity
3. High Porosity

Tips for Low Porosity Hair

1. Use gentle, sulfate-free cleansers to avoid stripping natural oils.
2. Apply products in warm water to help open up the cuticle.
3. Use lightweight, water-based products that won't weigh your hair down.
4. Avoid heavy oils and butters, which can sit on the hair surface.
5. Try a pre-shampoo treatment with ingredients like honey or olive oil to help open up the cuticle.

Tips for High Porosity Hair

1. Use moisturizing products that help lock in moisture.
2. Apply products in cool water to help close the cuticle.
3. Use heavier oils and butters to help seal in moisture.
4. Avoid excessive heat styling, which can further damage the hair.
