Today should have been a day of celebration.
A day to reflect on the values of democracy, freedom, justice, and the voice of the people. But for many of us, our hearts are heavy as we look at the challenges facing our nation.
This morning, my prayer is simple:
Lord, have mercy on our country. Heal what is broken. Expose every evil working against the progress of our people. Give our leaders wisdom, integrity, and the courage to do what is right. Let peace, justice, and truth prevail over greed, division, and oppression.
May God help our dear nation overcome every challenge and lead us into better days.
As citizens, may we never lose hope, and may we continue to believe that positive change is possible.
