HOW TO COMB YOUR HAIR WHEN IT'S WET – WITHOUT CAUSING DAMAGE.
Your hair is at its most fragile state when wet, so handling it with care is key to avoiding breakage.
Follow these simple steps to detangle safely and keep your hair healthy and strong.
STEP 1: CHOOSE THE RIGHT TOOL.
Use a wide-tooth comb or a detangling brush designed for wet hair. These tools prevent tugging and snapping your strands.
STEP 2: APPLY A LEAVE-IN CONDITIONER OR DETANGLING SPRAY.
This adds slip, making it easier to comb through without pulling or causing breakage.
STEP 3: SECTION YOUR HAIR.
If your hair is thick or long, divide it into sections. This makes detangling easier and less stressful on your strands.
STEP 4: START FROM THE ENDS.
Always comb from the ends first and work your way up gently. This prevents pulling and breakage at the roots.
STEP 5: BE PATIENT & GENTLE.
No rushing! Slow and steady strokes will protect your hair from snapping or weakening.
STEP 6: DON’T OVER-COMB.
Once detangled, stop combing. Over-combing wet hair can lead to unnecessary breakage.
STEP 7: STYLE WITH CARE.
Now your hair is detangled, you can style it safely, whether you air-dry, blow-dry, or do a protective style. Always use heat protectants if applying heat.
REMEMBER: Your hair is like silk when wet, treat it with the same care.
Haircare is a journey, give it time.
Which step do you often skip?
Let’s talk in the comments.😊

First time doing a flaxseed pre-poo, and my hair is loving it.
This natural treatment is packed with hydration, slip, and strengthening properties, making detangling a breeze.
My strands feel softer, more defined, and yes—extra length added!
If you haven’t tried flaxseed for pre-poo, this is your sign to give it a go!
Your hair will thank you.
I love the last slide 💋

DOS AND DON'T FOR MAINTAINING NATURAL HAIR.
DOS.
1. Moisturize Regularly: Use water-based products and seal in moisture with oils or butters.
2. Deep Condition Weekly: To strengthen and hydrate your hair.
3. Detangle Gently: Use a wide-tooth comb or your fingers and detangle from ends to roots.
4. Protect Your Ends: Trim split ends and use protective styles like twists or braids.
5. Use Satin or Silk: Sleep with a satin/silk bonnet or pillowcase to retain moisture and reduce friction.
6. Clarify Your Hair: Occasionally use a clarifying shampoo to remove product buildup.
7. Follow a Routine: Stick to a consistent haircare regimen that works for your hair type.
8. Eat a Balanced Diet: Your hair health reflects your overall nutrition.
9. Protect Hair from Heat and Sun: Use a heat protectant when using hot tools and wear hats or scarves when in the sun.
10. Stay Hydrated: Drink plenty of water to nourish your hair from within.
Don'ts
1. Don't Overuse Heat: Excessive heat styling can cause breakage and damage.
2. Don't Skip Moisturizing: Dry hair is prone to breakage.
3. Don't Use Harsh Chemicals: Avoid sulfates, parabens, and alcohols that dry out your hair.
4. Don’t Detangle When Dry: Always detangle damp or conditioned hair to avoid breakage.
5. Don't Overwash: Washing too often strips natural oils. Aim for 1-2 times a week.
6. Don't Skip Protein Treatments: If your hair feels weak, it might need protein.
7. Don’t Ignore Scalp Care: A healthy scalp is essential for hair growth.
8. Don't Use Tight Styles: Avoid hairstyles that cause tension on your edges or scalp.
9. Don’t Overload on Products: Too many products can cause buildup and weigh down your hair.
10. Don’t Compare: Every natural hair journey is unique; embrace your texture.
Growing hair is a skill.

Treating your hair after taking a style down is important for maintaining a healthy scalp and strong, vibrant hair.
Here’s why:
Why It’s Important
1. Cleanses Build-Up: Prolonged styles like braids or weaves can trap dirt, sweat, and product build-up on your scalp.
2. Prevents Hair Breakage: Detangling and moisturizing reduce the risk of breakage after styles are removed.
3. Restores Scalp Health: Styling can leave the scalp dry or irritated, and post-care helps soothe and rejuvenate it.
4. Encourages New Growth: A clean, well-moisturized scalp creates the ideal environment for hair growth.

One thing to remember about hair is that it grows on average about half an inch per month.
Even without using products, your hair is growing .💯 it’s always growing.
Products are there to complement your hair, making it healthier and creating a better environment for growth when they’re good quality.
But if you don’t have the budget for products, don’t stress. Let your hair breathe, care for it with love, and appreciate its natural beauty.
Don’t overwhelm yourself by trying every product out there.
Simplicity can be key. Love your hair, give it space, and watch it thrive.
Treat your hair and relax. 😄
Healthy hair starts with care.
Good morning.🌷
