2. Close contact: Through physical contact with an infected person, such as shaking hands, sharing utensils, or having s*x.
3. Unhygienic food handling: Eating food prepared by someone with hepatitis A or consuming raw/undercooked shellfish.

Hepatitis B:

1. Unprotected s*x: Engaging in unprotected s*x with an infected partner.
2. Shared needles: Sharing needles or syringes contaminated with the hepatitis B virus (HBV).
3. Mother-to-child transmission: Infants born to infected mothers can contract HBV during delivery.
4. Tattooing/piercing: Getting tattoos or piercings with unsterilized equipment.
5. Blood transfusions: Receiving contaminated blood transfusions in areas with inadequate screening.

Hepatitis C:

1. Shared needles: Sharing needles or syringes contaminated with the hepatitis C virus (HCV).

3. Blood transfusions: Receiving contaminated blood transfusions before widespread screening began in 1992.
