UI Health Services Donates to UCH
The University of Ibadan (UI) Health Services donated two trolleys and accompanying mattresses to the Accident and Emergency Department of the University College Hospital (UCH), Ibadan. The presentation took place on August 22nd, 2025, at the hospital’s boardroom.
Speaking at the event, the Director of Health Services at the University of Ibadan, Dr. Aderonke Ajav stated that the donation stemmed from a genuine desire to support the University College Hospital, especially in addressing some of the critical needs within the Accident and Emergency Department.
In response, the Chief Medical Director, Prof. Jesse Abiodun Otegbayo expressed deep appreciation for the gesture. He emphasized the longstanding and close-knit relationship between the University of Ibadan and UCH, describing the institutions as not just sisters but as "inseparable Siamese twins" that work hand-in-hand to fulfill shared goals.
Prof. Otegbayo also commended Dr. Ajav for her continued dedication and goodwill since she assumed the office. He extended his warm regards to the Vice Chancellor of UI, acknowledging his approval and support for the donation. “We appreciate this gesture and also thank the Vice Chancellor for his approval,” he concluded.
