Where do I start from? Thank you Holyspirit for how far you've brought me... thank you for the growth you've given me
A lot happened this year! But you remained faithful🙏🙏

I started this brand (Skinsecretswithmyme) at the last quarter of the year and i can categorically say that it has been God all through!

I am thankful to my family, friends and loved ones who believed in me and supported me all through. You guys are the best!

To my customers, thank you so so much for keeping me in business.  I know that I have not been too frequent because of school and other engagements but you still patronised me. God bless you real good

Let's talk SKIN TYPE!

I know that you want to get your hands on that new moisturizer, face toner or body wash but before doing that, you need to answer this question 👇
"What's your Skin Type?"

A lot of people who just go into skincare and skincare routines without knowing the type and texture of skin they have, ends up with a lot of skin issues from hyperpigmentation to acne even to white patches

I was talking to a client who complained to me about the fact that she has tried a lot of products on her face and she ends up with white patches and blackheads. I had to ask her if she knew her skin type and she said NO!

Knowing your skin type is the first step to getting that healthy and luminous skin that you want

There are 5 major skin types and we will be discussing each of them
1. Normal Skin
2. Oily Skin
3. Dry Skin
4. Combination Skin
5. Sensitive/Fragile Skin

PS: Each skin type is beautiful and unique in its own way, you just have to know what works for you!

Now you now the different skin types there is and I'm sure you now know how to identify yours

So around last year November/December ish, I had the worst acne breakout ever
I didn't understand what was going on... yes, I have acne prone skin but this was the height... rashes, big pimples, blackheads, whiteheads, infact any type of head was on my face😪.... it was that BAD

Imagine spending your Christmas with that type of face. Everyone I met was just like "ahn ahn why is your face like that?", "are you reacting to something?", "hope you are not bleaching?"
I was so unhappy with my face. I couldn't go out without a face cap on or shades.... it wasn't as if I hadn't started my skincare routine but I just couldn't decipher what was going on

Maybe the products were not working, maybe I'm not using it right, maybe I'm reacting to something, maybe...maybe... just maybe

The turn around came when I decided to ditch the former product that I was using for the acne... trust me, it wasn't as if the cleanser was bad, it had worked for me before so I discontinued it not knowing that that particular cleanser requires that you use it continuously

Most acne cleansers, acne face washes and acne removal creams are to be used for a particular period of time and not continuously
When you use them continuously, you would notice tenderness and redness on your face, sometimes it could lead to mild burns on your face

So back to my story, I changed the cleanser to a new one - HIT THE SPOT CLEANSER
When I started using it, it didn't work like magic ooo (don't expect me to say that it did)... I started noticing some changes after the first one month of using it
I ensured that I used it every morning and evening (most of the time) and I tried to be consistent

After like two months plus, I realised that my face was no longer rough, yes there was the occasional hormonal pimples in some places but my face was smooth, my face was no longer as oily as before
I discontinued the cleanser and guess what, my face is still smooth. I don't use the cleanser anymore and my face is still giving that glow

In summary, when you notice that your skincare product is not giving you the desired result after CONSISTENT use, please change it
