Now tell us: How do you comb your 4C hair? Do you section first or just go for it? 😂
4C hair doesn’t have to be a struggle to comb. The secret? Moisture, patience and the right technique.
Start by dividing your hair into 4 major sections. Apply a generous amount of our Moisturizing Leave-In Conditioner to each section, then gently detangle from the tips and gradually work your way up to the roots.
Once your hair is detangled, divide each section into 4 smaller sections, giving you 16 sections in total. Twist each section to help stretch and protect your hair.
You can leave the twists as they are, turn them into Bantu knots, or simply wear your bonnet and sleep with the twists. We especially recommend tucking or coiling the ends into the twists to reduce friction and help prevent breakage. You can also lightly seal the ends with a nourishing hair oil or butter to help keep them moisturized.
And the best part? Our Moisturizing Leave-In Conditioner softens 4C hair beautifully, making it much easier to comb and manage. You can use it after washing or even on dry hair when you need a little extra moisture and softness.
