Till date, we still have parents who believe a girl child should not strive to be a Pilot or an Astronaut. She should instead look more into feminine professions like Nursing or teaching.

The other day, I had the honour of speaking at the Chayil Girl's conference, Abuja, to mark the international day of the girl child.
My plenary session was on business.
The girls were full of questions with respect to what they wanted to pursue as a career/business and how their mums questioned their choices. This is largely because of what obtains in the sector most of them chose.
That day, as I answered their questions, I knew we would still need more work on orienting their parents as well.

As a girl child, you can be anything you want to be.
Pursue your dreams while noting your gifts and talents and working with them.

On a lighter note, we concluded that they should go to school and give their parents the certificates they (the parents) want. Afterwards, they should pursue their own dreams relentlessly. After all, there's always room for MORE!

To that girl child out there, never forget these words.

It's the special appreciation of this spectacular organisations that was a part of the success of the Latos Empowerment that was held in Ilorin, Kwara State (February).

I called boss, and told her I needed some specific sponsorship for my upcoming empowerment program.
She asked me what exactly I wanted and I told her "I need some ushers"
She asked how many I would want and I told her to give me any number she can comfortably give.
