TOPIC:
POWER OF UNBELIEF

“...A prophet is not without honour, but in his own country, and among his own kin, and in his own house.” (Mark 6:4)

Jesus returned to His hometown, preached in the synagogue, and performed mighty works. The people were astonished, until they remembered He was Mary’s son, the carpenter they watched grow up. Their familiarity bred contempt, and they were offended.

Because of their unbelief, Jesus could not perform many miracles there. Verse 6 says, “And he marvelled because of their unbelief...” Familiarity is the mother of unbelief. When you become too familiar with the vessel God uses, you may miss the anointing.

Many believers are stranded in church services, not because God isn’t present, but because unbelief has blocked their reception. May you never be stranded due to unbelief. Honour the anointing and believe in the power of God.
