“I believe God only when everything is good.”
It is:
“I believe God when things are good.
I believe God when things are difficult.
I believe God when I understand.
I believe God when I don't understand.
I believe God when I see the answer.
I believe God while I am still waiting.”
That is the lifestyle of faith.
Declare This:
“I am a believer, and faith is my lifestyle.
I walk by faith and not by sight.
I trust God's Word.
I speak God's Word.
I act on God's Word.
I will not give up in difficult seasons.
I will remain steadfast and unmovable.
My faith will not fail.
I believe God, I trust God, and I will continue to follow God.
In Jesus' name, Amen.”

MINISTRY IS GRACE, NOT LAZINESS
Have you ever been in a place where, as a servant of God, you say, “I cook, I bake, I can do this business”, and people respond, “Ah, Mama! You cook? You bake?”
But the same people, when you are hungry and say, “Please, I need something to eat,” suddenly say, “Isn't he/she supposed to go and look for work? Why is he/she becoming a burden?”
Ministry is grace. Ministry is work. Ministry is sacrifice. Ministry can be tiring.
People often look at a pastor or a minister and think full-time ministry is a lazy man's job because they don't see the prayers, the preparation, the counselling, the fasting, the responsibilities, the sleepless nights, and the emotional and spiritual weight that comes with serving God's people.
Sometimes, we don't even have enough to eat.
Sometimes, we are preparing for a programme, carrying the burden of God's assignment, thinking about everybody else—and forgetting to think about our own home and children.
Then the programme is over, and we sit down and ask ourselves, “So, what are we going to eat now?”
But in all of it, we have hope in Christ.
“For He Himself has said, ‘I will never leave you nor forsake you.’” — Hebrews 13:5
If God has genuinely called a person into ministry, don't despise the sacrifice that comes with that calling. And if you have faithful, loyal men and women of God around you—be a blessing to them.
Don't only celebrate them when they are giving to others.
Don't only call them when you need their service.
Remember that servants of God are also human beings with needs.
Encourage them. Support them. Pray for them. Give when you can. Be there for them.
Because the hand that God is using to bless others may sometimes need someone to strengthen it too.
“Let the elders who rule well be counted worthy of double honour...” — 1 Timothy 5:17
Ministry is not a job for the lazy. It is a calling that requires grace.
