*Being Led by God*

To be led by God, studying His Word and obeying them is inevitable Rom. 8. 1 - 14. Those who are led by God, are the ones that are the sons of God. When we walk in the spirit and obey the leading of the Spirit of God, then we are the sons of God. John 4. Those who are led by God, who are also sons of God live by loving.

We live in a world where it is very easy to use the Holy Spirit as an accessory when it pleases us. It shouldn't be so. No need keeping up appearances, keeping up some moral standards to appear a certain way! No, we need to be real to ourselves and take a stand for God or not, no sitting on the fence. It's either we are led by God or we are not. The Holy Spirit is sent to us as our guide, giving us daily instructions on how to live our lives. He is the essence of our lives. When we disobey Him and push His instructions aside and do our own way, there are consequences.

We need to beware of some of the things we hear around us which sometimes affect our beliefs and thinking if care is not taken. Some people will say "God has given you a brain so you can leave Him alone" or "heaven helps those who help themselves". These quotes are not biblical and can deceive us into feeling we do not really need God after all.

Do not forget, depending on God is never a sign of weakness. Yes we may be smart but we will always need God to figure out that situation and the only way to do that is to courageously follow God's leading via His Word. Gideon in the Bible followed God's leading and won one of the greatest battles in the Bible. Abram did, and became Abraham the father of many nations.

John 1.1, Jer. 29.11 God created the world and everything in it including you and I remember! Before we were formed in the womb He knew us and designed us from the start for a purpose, now, how then do we suddenly get that feeling that we are now so smart that we don't need His direction and guidance? Think about this!
