Before going to bed last night, I decided to go into my mini lab and formulate these gorgeous cleansing bars you see here. Do you know what cleansing bars are and what they are used for? I said earlier that heading to this organic skincare institution has made me to learn, relearn and unlearn certain skincare notions I had previously.

The facial skin is a very delicate part of the body. soap can be extremely stripping on the facial skin making it dry and sensitive because soap contains sodium salt. A lot of soaps in the market have a ph level of 9 to 10 while the human skin’s ph is between 4.7 and 5.75. When you use soap that have a ph level of 9, you’re destroying your skin acid mantle as well as altering how healthy your skin is.

With cleansing bars, the face is better protected and gently taken care of because cleansing bars are within the skin ph level.

Cleansing bars can be used in makeup removal as well as in cleaning the pores of daily dirts, excess sebum and other impurities on the facial skin. Cleaning bars may look like soaps but they are not. Do they foam and lather nicely on the skin? YES! Do they contain lye? NO!
