The Homework Emergency 😂📚

One evening, Dad walked into the living room and found Matifa and Luke sitting quietly at the table.

He smiled.

“Wow! My children are doing their homework without anybody telling them?”

Matifa nodded seriously.

“Yes, Daddy.”

Dad became suspicious.

“Where’s Luke?”

Matifa pointed under the table.

Dad looked down.

Luke was hiding underneath it with a pencil in his hand.

“Luke! What are you doing under there?”

Luke answered confidently,

“I’m looking for the answer.”

Dad frowned.

“The answer to what?”

Luke pointed at his mathematics book.

“The answer to why I don’t understand mathematics.” 😂

Dad pulled him out.

“Come and sit down. Let me help you.”

Dad looked at the question.

“Luke, if you have five oranges and I give you three more, how many oranges do you have?”

Luke immediately answered,

“Eight.”

Dad smiled.

“Correct! Now if I take away two…”

Luke quickly interrupted.

“Daddy, please don’t take my oranges.”

Dad laughed.

“I’m talking about mathematics!”

Luke shook his head.

“That’s how it starts. First you take two oranges. Next thing, there is nothing left.” 😂

Matifa burst out laughing.

Dad sighed.

“Okay, Matifa. Your turn.”

He gave her another question.

“If you have ten sweets and give Luke four, how many do you have left?”

Matifa looked at Luke.

Then she looked at Dad.

“Ten.”

Dad frowned.

“Why ten?”

“Because Luke is not getting any of mine.” 😂😂

Luke jumped up.

“That’s cheating!”

Matifa hugged her sweets.

“It’s called protecting my investment!”

Dad covered his face.

At that point, he realized something very important…

He didn’t come home to teach mathematics.

He came home to negotiate with two tiny lawyers! 😂

😂 THE SECRET ICE CREAM MISSION 🍦🤣

One hot Saturday afternoon…

Mum opened the freezer and said,

“Children, don’t touch the ice cream. It’s for visitors.”

Matifa nodded.

“Okay, Mummy.”

Luke nodded even faster.

“Yes, Mummy.”

Mum walked away.

Luke stared at Matifa.

Matifa stared at Luke.

Luke whispered,

“Visitors don’t need all of it.”

Matifa shook her head.

“Luke, don’t start.”

Luke smiled.

“I’m only going to check if it’s still cold.” 😂

He opened the freezer.

There it was…

A huge tub of ice cream!

Luke’s eyes became wide.

“Matifa…”

“Run!”

“No!”

“Just one spoon!”

Matifa sighed.

“Fine. One spoon.”

Luke took one spoon.

Then another.

Matifa frowned.

“You said one!”

Luke nodded.

“That was the first one.”

Then he took another.

“That’s the second one.”

Soon they were both eating.

Suddenly…

FOOTSTEPS!

Mum was coming!

Matifa panicked.

“Hide the ice cream!”

Luke quickly put the tub back.

But there was one problem…

They both had ice cream all over their faces! 😂😂

Mum entered the room.

She looked at them.

Then looked at the freezer.

Then looked back at them.

“Why are you two sweating?”

Luke answered,

“It’s very hot today.”

Mum touched his forehead.

“Then why is your mouth cold?”

Luke froze.

Matifa burst out laughing.

Mum opened the freezer.

The ice cream tub was almost empty.

Mum smiled.

“So…”

“Did the ice cream disappear by itself?”

Luke nodded seriously.

“Yes, Mummy.”

“It was probably hungry.” 🤣🤣

Mum laughed.

“You two are unbelievable!”

Luke smiled.

“Can we finish what the ice cream started?” 😂

Mum shook her head.

“Tomorrow, you are both buying a new tub with your pocket money.”

Luke’s smile disappeared.

“Suddenly…”

“…I’m no longer hungry.” 😂😂

😂 Lesson:

If you take something without permission, be ready to face the consequences when you’re caught!

😂 THE MYSTERY OF THE MISSING CHICKEN 🍗🤣

One Sunday afternoon, Mum prepared a big plate of fried chicken for the family.

She placed it on the dining table and warned everyone,

“Nobody should touch this chicken. We’re waiting for Dad.”

Matifa nodded.

“Okay, Mummy.”

Luke nodded too.

“Nobody will touch it.”

Mum went into the kitchen.

Two minutes later…

Luke stared at the chicken.

The chicken stared back at him. 😂

He whispered to Matifa,

“Do you think one piece will notice if it’s missing?”

Matifa shook her head.

“Luke, don’t even think about it!”

Luke smiled.

“I’m not thinking.”

“I’m calculating.” 🤣

He quickly grabbed one piece.

“Just one!”

Matifa gasped.

“Luke!”

He took a bite.

Then another.

Suddenly he said,

“Wow! This chicken needs a second opinion.”

He grabbed another piece. 😂

Matifa rolled her eyes.

“You said ONE!”

Luke nodded.

“Yes. One for me…”

“…and one for my stomach.” 🤣🤣

Before long, three pieces were gone.

Then four.

Just as Luke was reaching for the fifth…

Dad walked into the dining room.

Luke froze with the chicken halfway to his mouth.

Dad stared at him.

Luke stared at Dad.

Matifa slowly moved away.

Dad asked,

“Luke… what are you doing?”

Luke swallowed.

“I was…”

“…checking if the chicken was properly cooked.”

Dad raised an eyebrow.

“And?”

Luke smiled.

“Very properly cooked.” 😂😂

Mum came out of the kitchen.

She looked at the plate.

“Wait a minute…”

“Where did all the chicken go?”

Luke pointed at Matifa.

“She did it!”

Matifa’s mouth dropped open.

“ME?!”

Dad burst out laughing.

Luke quickly confessed.

“Okay, okay! It was me.”

Mum shook her head.

“Next time, wait until everyone is ready.”

Luke nodded.

Then he whispered,

“But Mummy…”

“Yes?”

“Can I finish the piece in my hand?” 😂😂😂

Everyone burst into laughter.

😂 Lesson:

Patience is important—especially when Mum says, “Don’t touch the food!”

😂 THE REMOTE CONTROL BATTLE 📺🤣

One Saturday afternoon, Dad was relaxing on the sofa watching football.

Luke walked in.

“Daddy, please change the channel. I want cartoons.”

Dad shook his head.

“No. I’m watching the match.”

Luke looked at Matifa.

Matifa whispered,

“Don’t worry. I have a plan.”

She walked over to Dad with a very serious face.

“Daddy, Mummy said you should give her the remote.”

Dad immediately sat up.

“Your mother said what?”

Matifa pointed toward the kitchen.

“She said, ‘Bring the remote now!’”

Dad quickly looked toward the kitchen.

“Mummy!”

No answer.

He looked back at Matifa.

“Are you sure?”

Matifa nodded confidently.

“Very sure.”

Dad handed her the remote.

The moment Matifa turned around, she gave it to Luke.

Luke jumped onto the sofa.

“Cartoons!!!” 😂😂

He quickly changed the channel.

Dad stared at him.

“LUKE!”

Luke froze.

Then Dad smiled.

“You two think you’re clever?”

He reached for his phone.

“I’m calling your mother.”

Matifa’s smile disappeared.

“Wait, Daddy!”

Dad called.

“Mummy, did you ask me to give Matifa the remote?”

Mum answered from the kitchen,

“No! Why?”

Silence.

Dad slowly looked at the children.

Luke whispered,

“We are finished.”

Matifa whispered back,

“Run!”

Both children jumped up and ran.

Dad chased them around the sofa laughing.

“Come back here, remote-control criminals!” 🤣🤣

Mum walked in and saw everyone running.

“What is happening?”

Dad laughed.

“Your children have started using your name for remote-control robbery!”

Mum burst out laughing.

Luke stopped running.

“Daddy, can we at least watch cartoons now?”

Dad shook his head.

“Yes.”

Luke smiled.

“Really?”

Dad pointed at the TV.

“After you both apologize for lying.”

Luke sighed.

“Okay…”

Then he whispered to Matifa,

“Next time, let’s just ask.” 😂
