*COCONUT OIL*
You can make coconut oil which is very good for your hair and skinπ₯
How to make coconut oil using *cold pressed*
Step 1
Cover the coconut extract with a lid and leave it in a cool place to settle undisturbed for12 hours or overnight. However, you can simply place it in the fridge to hasten theprocess. The next morning, you will notice a frozen layer or a white curd formed at thetop of the bowl(the water will settle down). This layer contains the oil, cream, andcurds. Use a spoon to gently scoop the frozen layer into another bowl, making sure youare not scooping the water along with it. Leave the frozen coconut cream in a warm
place in an airtight jar. This might take hours but you can simply leave it in the sun for
three hours. (I.e if you can't wait)
Step 2
Once ithas melted, you will notice the coconut oil separating into three layers- thewater which is below the bowl, the curd in the middle, and the coconut oil above. It isbest to use a transparent jar so that you will be able to see this clearly without havingto mix the oil back into the water.
Gently place the bowl in the freezer (ensure you don't shake it) for 30 minutes, the
coconut oil will get frozen leaving behind the water and the curd.
Step 3
Take the bowl out of the freezer, use a frying spoon with holes to gently scoop out thefrozen oil into another bowl. Take your time to drain out any excess water that mighthave escaped along with oil to avoid ruining your coconut oil. (Water in oils can make itgo rancid yes! Oil spoils too)
Step 4
Allow the oil to melt and pour it into a storage bottle or jar. Your cold-pressed coconut
oil is ready. You can use your cold-press coconut oil on your hair, skin, and cooking delicious dishesπ

Thirdly
*Natural hair does not grow*
If I had dime for every time someone said this, I would have a fleet of cars by now. Natural hair does grow. Due to the texture of our hair, it might seem like we're getting more volume than length. Doing a length check from time to time helps you track your hair length.
Fourthly
*Keeping natural hair is expensive*
The issue of affordability is relative, however, keeping natural hair is not really expensive. The basic things you need to manage your hair are not expensive compared to the alternatives. Water is our best friend and oh, almighty shea butter or coconut oil or any favourite oil of your choice
Always treat your hair like you are taking care of your body
It is very important
When you are consistent
You will see the end result is good
Fifthly
*Natural hair doesn't make you look professional*
Who told you?
This is definitely a kicker. A lot of women have suffered in the corporate world for keeping natural hair. This has got to do with people's perceptions rather than the natural look itself. There are so many ways of wearing your hair neatly and proudly to work, school or any event.
Example are
Con rows
Buns
Bantu knot and so on
Sixthly
* Relaxed hair can be transformed to natural hair
This is false. You'll either have to do the big chop (cutting off the relaxed hair all at once) or transition (grow out your hair and cut off the relaxed hair when you are comfortable with your natural length). No product on the market can change relaxed hair into natural hair.
I am 100% sure that you can never product that can change relaxed hair to natural hair
Don't let anyone deceive you
With these myths straightened out, we can now enjoy the natural hair journey without fear. Keep experimenting and keep learning.

Second myth
African threading
Personally I can't remember the last time I made threading. But I still have consistent hair growth and that proves the fact that the growth of natural hair does not rely on threading.

Myth of natural Hair
I will like to define Myth
Myths about Natural Hair
What are myths?
Myths are believes, saying, thoughts or imaginations that we've heard for so long and we now think that they're actually true, but they are not. And some of these myths can be very limiting being the reasons why your hair growth is still at the level it is, and then your believe pre determines your actions.
Let's talk about the first myth π
* African women cannot grow a long and healthy natural hair
This is the first lie you must take off or quit believing if you really want to grow your hair healthy and long. There are lots of Nigerian woman or black women that grow their natural hair which is very healthy and long.
