Based on the universal law of cause and effect, action and reaction, seed and harvest, all outcomes in life can be predicted and controlled.
By studying what caused an outcome and repeating the cause we can effectively and continuously reproduce the outcome. Conversely we can deliberately prevent any outcomes by consciously avoiding a repeat of their causes
This is the basis for the development and mastery of all life processes and skills, wether in sales, relationships, medicine, science or technology.
Some quick questions I will like you to ask yourself,

✓What outcomes am I hoping to prevent? e.g poverty, sickness, failure etc?

Things You can do to Prevent & control High Blood pressure
✓Note that your blood pressure changes throughout the day based on your activities.
But when your blood pressure is consistently above normal range it may result in a diagnosis of high blood pressure (or hypertension). Therefore to avoid being taken unaware you need to check your blood pressure periodically as a step in taking control of it.
✓These tips are based on factors identified as possible triggers of High Blood Pressure:
✓You need to take steps to effectively lower & keep your stress levels low
✓Understand that Diets are very crucial in prevention & control of high blood pressure (I'll share more on this next week);
But for today;
>Reduce consumption of foods that is high in saturated fatty acids/bad cholesterol e.g Fatty meats, processed meat such as sausages, burger, bacon, kebabs,
Pastries and pies
Milk, cakes, biscuits
Magarine, butter, coconut and palm oil.
Increase consumption of foods that is high in unsaturated fatty acids such a Omega 3 Fatty acids e.g Mackerel, Tuna, Salmon, Nuts etc
✓Avoid Smoking,
✓Bring your weight down to normal range
✓Avoid sedentary lifestyle; Engage in regular exercise & physical activities
✓Avoid too much salt in your diet
✓Avoid too much alcohol consumption
✓If you have Diabetes or Kidney health challenges, please take steps to put them under control
✓If you have family history of high blood pressure be more cautious
✓Ensure you get adequate sleep rest daily

The Link Between Chronic Stress & High Blood Pressure
✓The human body responds to stress by getting ready to fight or flee from it's source
✓To do this the body secrets stress hormones such as Cortisol and Adrenaline.
These hormones cause the heart to beat faster, blood vessels are narrowed, blood pressure goes up. Blood, oxygen, sugar and fats supply to the blood stream is increased to meet up with the energy demand. Muscle is tensed.
✓Nothing to worry about when this is short termed.
But when it becomes chronic- i.e persistent, long term stress; the elevated blood pressure becomes persistent; also the rate of oxidation of the cholesterol in the blood stream increases, leading to production of more & more plaques which gradually & permanently narrows the blood vessels, thereby creating a more persistent high blood pressure
✓The stress also disrupts sleep pattern leading to more stress and overproduction of the stress hormones- Viscous cycle.
✓When High Blood Pressure becomes persistent (aka Hypertension) the risk of heart, brain, kidney and other diseases increases.
✓When hypertension is uncontrolled the heart can get seriously damaged. The excessive pressure can harden arteries, decreasing the flow of blood and oxygen to the heart. When oxygen and blood flow is seriously disrupted or blocked
Heart attack occurs, the heart muscle cells die.
✓Hypertension can also burst or block arteries that supply blood and oxygen to the brain, causing a stroke.
✓Hypertension can cause kidney damage, leading to kidney failure.

*Stress Management Tips: practical ways to lower your stress levels*
✓First & foremost, we must realize that stress can never be eliminated. It needs to be controlled, because when it gets chronic, it becomes destructive
✓Next step to manage stress is to identify the stressors. Stressors are those things that put pressure on our mind body and emotions (mental, physical and emotional pressures)
✓Isolate yourself from the stressor when you can: eg incessant phone calls, traffic, toxic relationships, worries about bills, excessive work load, frequent anger, loss of job or loved one etc.
Take a vacation to rejuvenate.
Do things that will distract you from the stressor
✓Differentiate between the things within your control and those outside your control. Deal with them accordingly.
You cannot change the crawling traffic but you can distract your mind by dancing to your "Buga music 🎵- Elelele Buga ooo"🤣🤣🤣 or listening to an inspirational audio as you go through the traffic
✓Develope positive mental attitude. Try to see things differently. Understand that worrying doesn't solve problems. Become more knowledgeable about the situation, associate with people who have faced and solved similar problems and learn from them.
Develope solution strategies.
✓Intentionally Sleep more hours, rest and relax more. This will help you to rejuvenate and rewire your body's ability to cope with stress
✓Eat foods that will refresh you and help you cope with stress e.g Chamomile Tea because of their relaxing effect. Avocado pea because of the Omega 3 Fatty acids.
Fatty fish such as Tuna, Mackerel, Salmon because of the Omega 3 Fatty acids.
Probiotics because they promote gut, brain and immune health.
Whole grain foods, Nuts, Beans, Green leafy vegetables because of their high fiber; Sweet potato Etc.
Nuts are rich in Omega 3 as well as B vitamins which lowers stress
✓Fruits such as oranges, Strawberry because they are rich in Vitamin c which ease Stress
✓Avoid Alcohol, Caffeine, High-sugar foods,
