With an ongoing stream of customers querying the difference between utility balm commonly known as "Beard balm" and the beard oil. Since they both act as moisturizers, which is best for you? The answer to this question weighs heavily on preference, there are some things to consider about yourself and the products. Like; "is it a short groomed beard for office work or a longer beard that requires lots of products", "do I have an oily skin or a dry skin" etc.

Gemu beard balm is more of a styling pomade while Gemu beard oil is what we consider basic beard care, helping to moisturize your beard and the skin underneath.

For best beard growth results, we highly recommend using Gemu beard oil in conjunction with Gemu beard balm, but that doesn't mean our beard oil can not be used as a stand alone product. If you’re using both, be sure to apply beard oil first.
