We don’t always realise how long words can stay with us.

A comment someone made when we were younger.

A joke that everyone laughed at.

A name that stuck longer than it should have.

And somehow, years later, you’re standing in front of a mirror… still seeing yourself through their eyes.

But here’s what I’ve learnt:
You are allowed to see yourself differently. With kind eyes, gentleness and truthfulness.

It’s easy to forget that makeup is a form of self-expression. It’s okay to wipe it off and start again. Too much blush? Tone it down with powder. Wrong lip color? Try another. The more you show up at the mirror with a willingness to try, the more intuitive it becomes.
